AA seems rather finicky. Sometimes it'll be greyed out, sometimes it won't be, both with DX9 and DX11. Kind of confusing.

It was confusing. Like the scrolling button is lite up, but the actualy bar is greyed out. *lol*

From what i understand Users with Direct X11 cannot play the demo, meaning we cant complete it and recieve the bonus items when the game comes out, if this is true, then why dont they offer any way to compensate us with DX11

What's odd, is that DA:O didnt even use DX10, and in one year they're jumping to DX11? Wierd, most games still don't even use DX10, why the sudden "skip" to DX11?

Microsoft did a good job kicking DX10 in the shin out of the gate by refusing to backport it to XP. Since many people stayed on XP, game devs had to keep supporting DX9.

I remember that at a certain point, the Steam hardware survey showed that the vast majority of people had DX10 cards. But because a lot of those people were still on XP, DX10 still didn't sound like a good bet.

DX11, though, was backported to Vista, and works fine (though not with all features like tesselation) with DX10 cards. So, wherever someone is willing to cut out XP by using DX10 - or to put effort into option DX10 and above modes that will only be used by a fraction of their PC customers, as in this case - DX11 isn't much of a stretch, so long as the features only available on DX11 cards are optional.
