Okay, I'm at a major dilema here:
I'm debating whether or I should kill Flemeth during Morrigan's personal quest in Origins, or let her go; before I import my game to Dragon Age 2......
What do you guys think?
I'm seriously conflicted on this....
Killing Flemeth before staring Dragon Age 2?

Considering Flemeth is in DA2 no matter what, nobody knows if there is a special blowback to this or not yet.

More of a DAO question.
But I say kill her. She's up to something! And Claudia Black wouldn't lie to me!

I think you're on the wrong board.
And the decision is up to you.

Flemeth is pretty evil if you read into her story and motives.
I killed her, and killed her good.

It is strongly implied by Morrigan that this is a minor inconvenience for Flemeth.

But as Morrigan said in the last DLC of DA1, it wouldn't matter if you kill Flemeth or not since Flemeth isn't even a human being to begin with. This implies that she is still alive somewhere and that she already knew you (the grey warden) would try to kill her thus her expression when you meet her again at her hut.

I did one playthrough where i killed her and one i didn't. Will probably do the one where i let her go to begin with.

I still haven't played Witch Hunt... I shouldn't be reading these threads.

It turns out that Morrigan is actually a spider shapeshifted into a human. True story.OpDDay2001 wrote...

Eh, there hasn't been anything said here yet that isn't said in Origins without Witch Hunt.

The "kill" Flemeth quest is in DAO, not Witch Hunt....

She doesn't really die. Just do it for the XP and the loot.

Flemeth gives me exp for killing her, I figure it's a fair trade.

It probably doesn't matter if you kill her or not, other than her maybe mentioning it later in DAII.
She wont' die permanently seeing as she's a witch/demon/immortal/something.

If Shepard can get better from death, so can Flemeth.

From what I can sense, we will see a chunk of Flemeth's actual plans in DA2 and it will catapult us into understanding on what DA3 is going to be about.

It doesn't actually matter. Even if you kill her, Morrigan says that Flemeth is probably still alive.

I just want to hear her mention it. I am also curious as to what changes if you let her go, I think I will let her go with my Awakening transfer game. I might name "She-Hawke" (I'mma call her that now, and yes it means what you think it means), Chun-Li.
Who's to say she doesn't use an illusion to summon a dragon and disappear.

It depends if she appears further in game, but I don't think it would have much effect, because the prologue of the game takes place it looks like about 1 quest in (time-respective) to DA:O, at which point I don't think the option of killing Flemeth has even occurred...

The warden tries to kill Flemeth some time after the destruction of Lothering at the least (since you need the Black Grimoire from the Circle Tower to get the option), so the bit that she's in doesn't seem to change much of anything as far as Origins' timeline is concerned.
Of course, I don't know if Flemeth actually shows up again later, so I suppose she could really mess with the potential killing choice being "canon", then.

I personally think Flemeth is an Old God that didn't get imprisoned and she wants the Old God Baby to later make more Old Gods to get revenge on The Maker. I mean, look at her dragon form, then look at the High Dragons... She looks more like the Archdemon. Plus, when you encounter her in DA2 and ask her how she learned to become a dragon, she says "Maybe I am a dragon"... which could be just her being cryptic and not answering the question, or that could be what she wants you to think...
Also, she and Morrigan both imply that even if you kill her, you just inconvience her... she's not dead. Even more reason I say she's an Old God.

You only think you kill flemeth. She is probably one of the most powerful beings in Thedas, she isn't really going to die to the likes of us puny humans. She just let's you think so...
