I'm new around these boards so I'm sure this has been made before but whatever.

Knowing what you know of yourself, what kind of squadmate would you be if you were in the game?

Me --

Species (if not human): Salarian. I'm tall and lanky, and appear harmless at the surface.
Weapon
Training (2):
Sniper Rifles, Shotguns. Seems like a strange pair, but they suit my style the most. Rapid-fire weapons are a lil boring. I like the
feeling of taking out my enemies in one shot. Get in my face, I make
your head explode. Run and hide, I make your head explode. I'd be ineffective at mid-range, but that's a problem with a simple solution: either charge, or retreat.
Tech/Biotic Powers (3): Cryo Blast, Incendiary Ammo, Overload. I
don't know of any Salarians with biotics so I focused on tech and ammo
powers. Overload is a must since I lack rapid-firing weapons to take
down shields. Cryo Blast can freeze any charging enemies when I
have my hands full. Incendiary ammo gives me a boost to taking down
armor on top of the effective weaponry I carry.
Best
Squad Pairing:
Samara. For a balanced squad at least, Samara brings the
weapons and biotic powers to the fight that my character lacks. For another similar character I'd say Miranda, adaptable to just about any situation (except long range).

species - human

Weapons - sniper rifle, pistol (I'm actually pretty good at marksmanship in real life, I just suck in hand to hand)

training - mercenary outfits/self-taught?

powers - lift, throw, barrier, concussive shot. (weird combo, but basically anything that stops people from getting in melee range with me as well as rotecting me slightly, giving me a window of opportunity to get away)

Squad Pairing: Grunt or Zaeed, probably best - someone who can take some damage and draw attention from me, letting me snipe in peace.

I'd be a pretty squishy squadmate, useless up close, so best keep me stationed somewhere on the edges of battlefield, changing positions once in a while, while I snipe from the distance and occasionally CC people.

Throw/Warp/Fortification

Squad - Zaeed

Send me off somewhere to snipe. If enemies close in I have the AR to fall back on, and Zaeed can help out if it gets to be to much with a concussive shot or inferno grenade, the guy's a powerhouse in combat.

 Species: Turian.

Appearance: Green face-markings, a small green cape to match; and black, heavy armour.

Weapon training: Shotguns (ClayMOAR!) and heavy pistols. I am a shotgun man. I always will be. I always have been. Heavy pistols just help round it up.

Training: Seven years doing freelancing work in the Terminus systems.

Squad Paring: Garrus, so we can be bros4lyfe.

I tell you now that everything you have seen is but a simulation. Were you to physically interact with it, you would find it all a advanced hologram. But there is one thing here that is not a simulation. It is not hidden behind any sort of guise. What thing am I referring to?"

*NOTE* This character is a real character I am developing for a fic.

Funny thing, I just came across a ME wikia that had a pic of a salarian that is exactly how I pictured my guy in the OP. Apparently a character from one of the novels.

actually, tazzik is from issue, 3, I think, of the Redemption comic.
--
Name: Alexander Mcpherson
Species: Human
Specialist Training: Infiltrator - Agent
Weapons Training
Minimal: Shotgun (Last Resort weapon)
Moderate: Pistol, SMG
Advanced - Sniper Rifle

Powers:
Ammo Power: None trainable.
Hacking, Cloak

Notes: Alexander utilizes powers gained from squad members often, and is best paired with those who play well as a team.
He uses specific ammo powers from Garrus, Zaeed, Jacob, or Jack, with specific weapons.
A typical combination is working with Garrus and Zaeed against armoured Synthetics, such as Geth or Mechs, with Armor-piercing rounds on the sniper rifle and disruptor rounds on the SMG.
Another, is Jacob and Jack, with Incendiary rounds on the SMG and warp in the Pistol, to deal with biotic/armoured organics.

Alexander is a well-trained Infiltrator, taught by Commander Shepard, with assistance from Tali'Zorah Nar Rayya. He was one of the few survivors of Eden Prime, and spent the two years since helping to defeat Saren working on multiple projects.
Specialising as an Agent, Alexander has often taken pseudonyms, such as 'Jack Bristow', and 'Michael Vaughn', and is was via the former Alias that brought him to the attention of Cerberus.
The Dossier received by Shepard for his recruitment was titled 'The Spy'. He was recruited on [classified].
His Loyalty Mission was to free his daughter from a dangerous cult of terrorists called the Covenant.
He is noted to be on friendly terms with both SR-1 Veterans, Garrus Vakarian and Tali'Zorah Nar Rayya, and has had previous experience working with Subject Zero, although neither can nor would safely call the other 'Friend'.
After his loyalty mission, Alexander got into a fight with Jacob, whom he'd met during Jacob's time as a Corsair on Eden Prime.
He is noted to be one of the few that Jack can spend any amount of time around without flipping out.
His armor is custom made from a company called 'Jormangund', which he is the principle shareholder of.

[edit]
It is strongly hinted, from his strange familiarity with the SR-2 design and knowledge of Cerberus Operations, that he is, via Jormangund, one of the sources of Funding for the Lazarus Project. The primary evidence behind this was the lack of surprise at Shepards' survival, and the odd comment of 'bout time you woke up'.

-
Basically, I'm writing a fanfiction, that's kind of an SI, where 'I' cheat, a lot. big time. Jormangund is reference to the cheats-only 'crisis' armor, the best armour you can get in the first game. Also, mix of ME1 and 2 game mechanics - aka not limited to 2 guns, although in the SI, ammo won't be person-specific in use, but person-specific in training to use. 'Squad ammo' results in squad training for those powers, although not necessary for the source of said squad power to be on a mission.

Species: Human

class: Sniper

Weapons: Sniper rifle and pistol.  I've shot a bit competitively in real life with both rifles and handguns.  Not a hardcore IDPA or IPSC guy, but I know how to hit the target.  Sniper rifle would probably be Mantis or Widow.  Pistol would be the M6 Carnifex.  Would consider using the Viper if facing enemies with biotic barriers, but would still generally prefer the Mantis or Widow.

Powers: Overload and Armor Piercing Ammo.  Loyalty power would be AI Hacking.  I write software and work on computers in real life for a living which accounts for Overload and AI Hacking.  In relation to my shooting hobby, I can handload all my own ammunition, which acccounts for Armor Piercing Ammunition.

Training: Self taught with some college education related to tech abilities.

Squad Paring: Either Tali/Garrus or Samara/Garrus.  In both cases, Garrus for pure combat specialization and leadership.  Tali is best in general since combat drone goes well with snipers.  This squad is also murder on synthetics.  Alternatively, if facing a lot of husks and need crowd control biotics, Samara/Garrus.

Other: +25% bonus to Melee damage.  I have a blackbelt in karate in real life as well, and know how to hit someone in such a way to do serious damage.  Would've been +50%, but I haven't t trained in a while and I'm a bit out of shape at the moment.

Name: Avalon Scott

Species (if not human): Human. On the short side of average height range, caucasian, dark brown hair and eyes.

Training:
Cerberus Inspector, Cerberus Political Division.[/u][/b]
Avalon was picked out at an early age due to his biotic-potential and intelligence for Cerberus recruitment, his inquisitive nature and skill at reading people and making arguments lead him to become a valuable operative in Cerberus' political division, but he has also trained and recieved special upgrades including some cybernetics, to help him defend himself in high-risk or hostile negotiations. He is also often sent in to cell's suspected of becoming unstable to bring them back under control before they go rogue, and convince other groups to join Cerberus, and recruit new Cerberus personel. When Cerberus was declared a terrorist organization, Avalon became a wanted fugitive, although still continued his work, he was forced to deal with the Alliance hunting him and travel more in secret. For a short time, he was suspected by the Alliance of being the Illusive Man, due to some people with Cerberus connections knowing him as a dominant face and voice for the organization politically. Avalon is wanted alive by the Alliance, as they suspect he has a lot of key intel about Cerberus' funding and allies, as well as which politicians secretly back Cerberus.

Weapon Training (2): Submachine Gun, Pistol, Sniper Rifle.
Uses Sniper rifle when applicable, but otherwise primarily uses sub-machine-gun in most combat, and pistol for threatening or when low on sub-machine-gun ammo.

Tech/Biotic Powers (3): Echo, Barrier, Disruptor Ammo, Investigator, Warp Tackle.
Avalon has a couple unique skills-
'Echo' is a special biotic ability which uses biotics combined with a special sonic generator implant installed in his throat. Normally this generator is a special voicebox for voice mimicry and ventrioloquism tricks, but it is designed to be overloaded for this special sonic attack. Echo produces a cone shockwave originating from Avalon's throat a moderate distance in front of him, which damages and disorients enemies, with the area of effect growing as it levels up. The damage isn't very high, and it only disorients enemies without special defenses. It's is ineffective against armor and shields, but surprisingly effective against biotic barriers and unprotected targets, at least at higher levels as the damage increases. The final level can either get increased area of effect and disorientation on unprotected targets, or increased damage and a knockback effect.
'Warp Tackle' is a loyalty power, a biotic-enhanced physical attack, which can't be selected as a command menu power (similar to Krogan charges), and if taken for Shepard as a bonus ability enhances the standard melee punch. It is a simple strike of some sort, a punch or kick, which gets enhanced damage, knocks back and stuns unprotected enemies, and deals bonus damage against shields and barriers. Avalon automatically uses this power when enemies get into melee range, you can make him use this power by directing him to move next to enemy positions. The highest level can either also do bonus damage to armor, or get a huge damage increase against unprotected enemies.
'Investigator' is Avalon's Passive class Ability, he increases squad headshot damage and gets bonuses to his own health and shields. The top level also either lowers his power cooldown, or increases his weapon damage.

Best Squad Pairing: Biotic Specialists, Mordin. Avalon usually benefits from allies who are good at taking down enemy armor, like Mordin with Incinerate. He is surprisingly tough, especially with his barrier and passive class ability bonuses, and once he is loyal, it is often a good idea to send him out of cover right up in enemy faces, even enemies prone to charging, like enemy husks and Krogan, or interpose him between Shepard and melee/charging enemies. The bonuses his passive class ability grants to headshot damage is also nice for soldier-type allies or any allies or Shepards prone to getting headshots. Echo, while it's damage is poor, is still a great power for dealing with swarms of enemies due to it's area of effect and disorienting effect on unprotected targets, which most swarms of weak enemies are, so it is also good to pair with squad members who have powers focused on dealing with single targets.

Species: Quarian

Name:Torin Gazrell vas Lycentia

Age: 24

Training/Background: Infiltrator-Quarian Adaptation.
>>
A rumor holds that Quarians cannot use sniper rifles because of degeneration of their eyesight from living in their suits. In fact, Quarians have little use (not to mention little money) for sniper rifles. Their advantages are quickly taken away in the close quarter combat of the Flotilla or other space stations that they may inhabit. Because of this, special forces will predominantly use shotguns to attack or defend key locations. With precise training and modifications to his suits target interfaces, Torin can make a shotgun burst as accurate as any medium-range assault rifle
Weapons: Shotgun & Heavy Pistol/Regular Pistol

Powers:
Enhanced Cloaking
>> One of Torin's first inventions created a small but ineffective cloaking field the size of his teenage fist. The charge needed to power it was so large that it took off the Lycentia's FTL core for a few minutes. Over time and in more suitable enviroments dictated by his admiral after his punishment, Torin made the device much more effiecent and powerful to the point that it competes with modern prototypes while being 100% quarian in design.Armor Piercing Ammo-
>>Torin becomes easily frustrated when his precise aiming and modifications to his weapons that should create maximum potential damage only pause his enemies temporarily. Torin uses Armor Piercing ammo to obtain that extra "kick" to neutralize his targets.

Area Overload

>> Considering their conflict with the Geth, Quarians have become specialists at taking down shields and synthetic barriers via overload. Torin has specialized his overload systems to affect multiple targets at once to allow his teammates as many chances possible to take out the enemy.

Loyalty Power >Heavy Neural Shock<
   >>
Because of his technological prowess, even among his own species, Torin has long mastered the ability to hack the combat armor systems of his enemies for a short duration. With this override, Torin can choose to turn the high-tech armor against its user through tampering with internal temperature applications, create electrical overcharges, and if given the conditions, can reverse the pressure systems, resulting in hyper-compression. These quick alterations causes severe neural damage and leaves the enemy stunned (if not outright dead) as the suit returns to normal functions. Having lived in a suit his entire life, Torin is sensitive to the damage he could wreck upon a person with this ability and has hardly ever used it. It would need to be desperate situation or a case where someone he cared for was endangered to consider it.

Appearance:
Torin wears the regular lightly armored enviromental suit that every quarian male is destined to wear. Torin's is noticeable for its dark maroon tinge. Torin's "decorative coverings" are a base dark green with a pattern of white repetitive chevrons across the fabric.Unlike most other males, Torin prefers to wear his suit straps and belts with a full 4 latches creating a central "X" arrangement compared to the popular 3 latch system.

Bio: Torin grew up as an orphan. His mother and father both fell to a plague early on in his life. Torin's clean and cramped upbringing in the Flotilla is evident in his moderate grade OCD. He will clean his quarters and equipment incessantly until satisfied and micromanages every detail. The OCD has been a hinderance at certain points: This has left him outside his suit for longer-than-neccsesary durations as he re-cleans it and has annoyed his squadmates and commanding officers as he recalibrates weaponry and re-issues orders, deeming it "more correct" even if its a minute change. It has also proven to be a gift as well as he can analyze tactical situations quickly and keeps calm under heavy fire, knowing that if the right steps are taken, he can survive any encounter. Though a great tactician, Torin lacks the charisma to see his plans through. He doesn't socializes often given the scoldings he has received when his anxieties create outbursts of emotion.

Pilgrimage:
The start of Torin's Pilgrimage didn't bode well for him. Due to Flotilla travel restrictions and agenda, Torin had to begin his journey on the Omega station with the standard amount of credits and the few supplies the Lysentia could afford to give him. As stated, Torin's smaller body girth compared to most male quarians has left him being periceived as weak; to the point where there was as small running undergroud pot on how long it took for him to get rescued from captivity or even how much of his remains they would recover.
However, 4 months later, Torin alive and well contacted the Migrant Fleet from Illium. There, he coordinated a pick up of not only himself but his Pilgrimage gift: a small retired asari frigate, its hangar full of advanced mineral scanning equpment,  and 10 assorted fighters and shuttles. Torin also had a group of 5 quarians with him, all of whom he had released from indentured servitude.
Upon his return, as customs permitted, the Admirality queried on how Torin came across this trove of assets. Torin made an offer, he will not tell of his pilgrimage and he will not hold it against them that they each gambling 1500 credits he will not survive it. Embarrassed by this revelation, they quickly agreed under the condition he inform them how he knew of thier bets. Torin revealed he had made the local gambling network himself before departing and had made a bet for himself; he was the only one who had placed credits on him fullfilling the Pilgrmage.

Torin Gazrell vas Lysentia has never disclosed the details of his Pilgrimage. It remains unknown to this day the amount of credits that Torin Gazrell accumulated from his combined Pilgrimage resources and pot winnings.

Weakness: Combining his Infiltraitor oriented training, his his race's slighter build and his suits drawbacks, and his smaller stature, Torin cannot take much direct damage even based on Quarian standards. This does not mean he is useless in open battle as many of his abilites can create an major advantage but he will likely fall quickly if he does not find cover. This makes Torin the optimal support role for any squad as he can quickly lay down precision covering fire as well as hinder enemy agression with his powers.

Suggested Squadmate: Heavy biotic type to combine Torin's advanced tech abilities and to counteract his lack of physical strength.

----------
Wow didn't think it would go that long. Despite its detail, I am not using this in any fanfic or anything. But you can bet your bottom dollar this is what I will be if theres a Mass effect MMO or something.:alien:

I take it there should be two weapons and 2 basic powers plus one new unique power (not including the passive)?

Species: Hanar

Weapons: Shotguns (GPS), Assault Rifles

Powers:  Pull, Stasis, Shockwall - a cross bewteen shockwave and throw field (sort of like the cutscene where a squadmember throws the biotic bubble at the end of the Long Walk).

Best Squad Pairing: Jack (for the other GPS, pull and shockwave), or Thane/Miranda for Warp.

I want this guy in my squad! :D

Species: Human, ex-Alliance officer
Weapons: Vindicator battle rifle, Phalanx pistol
Powers:
Unity- Uses biotics to revive squadmates w/o use of medigel (restores squad to full health and shields or increases damage protection and weapon/power damage for a brief amount of time similar to AR when evolved)
Shockwave
Concussive Ammo- Each shot is like a mini concussive shot (loyalty power)

IRL, I've never been very combat-esque, in sports, getting in fights, whatever. So my character is more like a tactical support unit or designated marksman, with accurate weaponry, and powers that suppress the enemy and buff the team. I would figure myself to be a biotic because I'm not that tech-savvy either.

As a side note, my concussive ammo would have a crimson-red ish animation on the weapon.

Species (if not human): Salarian (possibly Asari).

Weapon Training (2)
: Assault Rifles, Sniper Rifles.
These are my two favorite weapons in ME1. When starting a new playthrough, I always take one of them as my "bonus" power from Achievements, preferring Assault Rifles. In ME2, I usually take Assault Rifles as well when it comes time to pick a specialization.

Tech/Biotic Powers (3)
: Warp, Tech Armor, Overload.
I see myself in the role of a Sentinel.

Best Squad Pairing
: Mordin Solus.
As a Sentinel, I have the basics covered for Biotics (Warp) and Engineers (Overload). Mordin would best suit filling the anti-armor/regeneration role with his rather OP Incinerate.
