Hi,

I downloaded the demo from the ps store and I noticed that the video appears low res and streched on my hdtv.

My Tv only supports 1080i and 480p. Both resolutions give me the same issues. I play all my games at 480p without issue (although i have never played the first Dragon age on ps3).

WIll this be an issue with the final product release as well?

Can someone with a PS3 let me know if they have perfect aspect ratio?

I had perfect aspect ratio - my demo was displayed in 720p. It's EU version of demo if that helps.



First game also ran in 720p and had no aspect ratio problems.

Thanks for your response. Can you test 480p or 1080i if your tv supports it. I want to know if its just me. 

1080i is a widescreen format so It should output in widescreen. I noticed the streching from loading screen image with the 2 statues. the middle has an oval instead of a circle.

Not stretching for me at all. IDK, it's something specific to your setup. Or maybe my eyes are not sharp enough to notice it.

I have the demo on PS3 downloaded from the Israeli store. On 1080i it looks great, didn't check lower resolutions though.

I noticed the game automatically defaults to 720 x 480 no matter if its 1080i. Checked on another setup. It's ok i guess the image was just naturally oval its just more prominent on this large hdtv that I play on which gives the impression that its stretched.



Opini you sure you are playing it in 1080i? When you hold down the menu button in the demo does the text appear large or small?

The text appears the usual size. It's definetly 1080i, unless they look the same...

Strange how it wont go to 1080i for me. I'm using component cables and tested on to hdtvs. What region is your demo?



Oh well, guess I have to wait for the final product.

For me the demo defaulted to 720p, and I have HDMI and my TV supports 1080p. I think that's the max resolution. In fact I just tested it by going in and turning off 720p and 1080i resolutions, defaulted to 480p. Then I turned 1080i back on, defaulted to 480p still. So it appears for the demo at least, max resolution is 720p.

I haven't had a problem with the aspect ratio with my version of the demo... probably because I running it on a 1080P LCDTV. Did you check your resolution settings on your PS3?

Where da hell did you get a demo with 1080p resolution for the PS? I could only get 720p res as a fixed max, no changing or anything...

First off, 480p isnt HD its EDTV. And what tv do you have? Because I have not heard of a tv only capable of displaying 480p and 1080i.
