Yeah I'm really thinking where I'm shedding so much time is on the dialogue. Since I already know it, I just skipped through a good 98% I would say. Well.. more like 100% since I already knew what was going to be said.

It sounds like a lot of you need to turn off subtitles. If you can't help but skip dialogue because you've already read it, I'd say that you're spoiling it for yourself a bit.

It only feels short if you have the skill and or desire to rush through it.

I use the console and though I haven't finished it I have a general idea of it's length based on the duration of each Blight Misison and it does feel short if your that good at this game.(or cheat)

I do enjoy milking every scene/dialogue/side quest though so to each his own. Enjoy.

70 hours to finish.

It makes me sad I played it so much I finished it a week and a half after release, but 70 hours is a long game. It's like watching 35 movies.

And what are your expectations for single-player RPGs that you expect them to be longer then this? My first Mass Effect playthrough, taking my time and doing every sidequest I could find, was only ~40 hours. An MMO takes longer, but that's because of a huge built-in grind.

It feels short because it's totally awesome and well-done. It could be twice as long and still feel a little short because it's just that much awesome.

Just finished first playthrough. Took almost 2 weeks and 80hrs clocked. I skipped a few side quests at the end too because I was anxious to finish and replay!

I spend a lot of time in dialogue and asking every question.  I think people who beat the game fast, skip all the dialogue.

I think one of the things that make it seem so short is also that you have a million choices, yet only very few matter at the end game. ive been zooming through it to try to get all the endings but ive done it 4 times and did things completely different in all 4 and still got pretty much the same exact ending for 3 of them, the 4th i did with a female and chose alistair so it was different, slightly, exact same as Anora word for word almost which was kind of a huge letdown.

If you skip dialogues on 2nd or 3rd play throughs it shortens the game by a ton, I didn't realize just how much of the game was taken up by people talking until my second go.

Skipping dialogue you've read before shaves off atleast 10 or more hours from what ive seen

Yes, what we needed was more aimless wandering through dungeons . . .

That means nothing without having your actually LIVE gameplay tiem thus far (Live meaning leaving your game running over night doesnt count)

I wouldn't say the game is too short. But i do wish there we're more to the mainplot.

The actual main plot is completed in 5 quest-lines (obviously, there are time consuming). Become a Warden, Unite the humans, Elves and Dwarfs, then march off to kill a somewhat meagre Arch-demon.

I'm also with the Short??? crowd. Took me just under 80 hours for the first playthrough on hard difficulty, and I got to level 24. Although, much of the playtime is dialogue, which I will not stop. I mean, it's voiced very well, I'll choose a different morale codex for my next character, and I don't skip over dialogue which I know in movies or comics, so why should I? Would be different if it wasn't written that well, but. It. Is.

my longest playthrough was 32 hours my shortest was 28 hours.

I am trying to get that 50 or 75 hours playthroughs but its just not happening.

Its a bit short for me too i have 15 unfinished playthroughs and 2 completed playthroughs or i should say i had since there is a limit.

About skipping through dialogue; in Mass Effect I did, because I didn't feel like the voice acting was that great for most of it, with a few exceptions. For Dragon Age I usually don't, because most of it is done very well.. with a few exceptions.

Maybe they talk a little slower, but that's because they're actually putting the emotion into the voices, which I didn't feel like many of the voice actors did very well in ME.

I've beaten it over three times now (Just can't get enough of my super crush Alistair.. yes I know it's sad but David Gaider really knows how to make a super sweet character D:) and I'm sad... I've no idea what to do!

I've beaten it on different settings, went through all the classes (Warrior, Mage, Rogue) the different stories, and I just gotta have more!

Did anyone else find this game to be a bit short?

Im usually leading the charge on Bioware games being to short but this and Mass Effect are steps in the right direction.

My first play through took 67 hours and thats a TON better then the KotOR 25-30 hour play throughs or JE at 18-20 hours.

Still, game costed me $65.00+tax so at $1.00/hour (I think thats fair) the game should have been 73 hours long. So only 6 hours off the mark, cant really complain about that, now can we?

The story was fantastic and left me wanting more, but wanting more doesnt mean the game was to short, just means it was superbly done.

My one suggestion for future games remains, Voice Over for the Codex entries. It was to hard to read and to much to read on a TV screen. If they had done Voice Overs for each Codex entry, I would have listened to them all and that probably would have filled the last 6 hours of play time.
