How so?  There's nothing tactical about it anymore.  You run around, zoom from enemy to enemy blowing everything up and cleaving your way to victory.  Or you sit back, twirl your staff around like it's a tooth pick, and then unleash a firestorm from hell spell that just starts gibbing enemies left and right.  There's no more positioning, there's no more feeling of needing to control the entire party, it's simplified.  What's tactical about it?

You must be a troll....
Did you just play the first 5 min of the demo or something? You know.... That was the legend told to the masses... so you are really overpowered in that sequence.

One other thing I'd like to add to what Em said before I drop it is that people are claiming the cooldown is too long on potions and the heal spell.

It's obviously hard enough for some as it is on normal.

Thing is, whatever BioWare do, they won't be able to win. They make the game harder, they'll get complaints. They make it easier, they'll get complaints. *shrugs*

This is Bioware and Dragon Age in name only people. EA and money control it completely now.

I have this feeling alot of people expect Bioware to become a charity.

you are so right man, personally i hated the changes of ME2 so right now im having a horrible flashbaack from nam http://knowyourmeme....sd-clarinet-boy also from a european review, i heard the game is way less original than the 1st. Demo ipressions agree looks like god of war except worse (horribly) with crappy powers that are so unnecesary because of the WTF health regen. Seriously what the hell is up with the regen health. Hawke is human not Wolverine. Sucks that there is no character creation too:sick:

There is a character creation option, it was simply disabled in the demo.  Health in DA has always regenerated following battles.  If you're talking about the in-battle regeneration during the opening "Legend" sequence, it's because it was an idealized version of the battle where Hawke was completely overpowered and unstopable.  It was also a brief introduction to the game mechanics without forcing you to die multiple times if you're new to the game.  And obviously it's way less original that the first game...it's a sequel.  To the first game.

As far as DA2 being comperable to God of War, that's true in the same way that Darth Vader is comperable to a crate of oranges.  In other words, not at all.

Hey guys, according to Aaron Sorkin, "Elite" is NOT a bad word. This "core group" is obviously not a bad word, and they're better than us for being traditionalists. Cream of the f**king crop, if you ask me. When has tradition ever failed us? Change is bad!

Also, I like that someone said the devs would be sitting on phat piles o' cash. Hahahahah, right. Maybe you mean the producers. I remember reading in a study that the average income at EA was around 58 grand a year, which is a damned good salary if you ask me, but not a phat pile o' cash. I'd cite my source but a google search has failed me thus far.

If you wish to discuss the demo, please use the demo feedback Sticky thread at the top of this forum's first page. Thank you.

End of line.
