Also, one thing: Qunari, Circle and Chantry? What.
I hope "Circle" is a mistranslation of whatever collective of mages Orsino seems to be leading, because my mage Hawke don't wanna side with no Qunari, Circle or Chantry.

Or maybe there'll be an option to attempt a solo grab for power, a la New Vegas. I would love that.

I assumed those mages were circle mages at one point.

Im still thinking that this game is going to be good. PC gamer from onther country did say it had the best storytelling and is worthy of editors choice. So mabey it isnt that bad from origins. But that swedish review makes me worry a bit

Anyone knowing swedish pc gamer cant be suprised. They love everyhting olschool so that they would rate origins over Da2 was a nobrainer.

A lot of the complaints I am hearing from these reviews are the same complaints I heard leveled at Origins.

A lot of the complaints I'm reading are things that wouldn't bother me at all or even things that I like ie a lack of a "major" antagonist = yes a shift to a more complex storyline instead of the usual good v evil bs.

He is? Golly, that's news to me. Doesn't the loading screen show him facing off against Meredith? Maybe he goes rogue at some point...

I just finished reading the entire PCgamer review, and I am incredibly excited about the effect that time will have on this game now. Things you do in year one and two can come back to bite you on the ass in year six or seven. Seems the reviewer was so conflicted at one point that he had to get up from his computer and walk around his room to figure out what decision he wanted to make.

Heres a quote from the review

"So many games promise real choice but fail to deliver. Dragon Age 2 is the most impressive attempt ive seen to make the decisions players make in the game mean something".

I love this.

Now that...that sounds awesome! I'll sacrifice anything in terms of graphics or whatever to have story so immersive and powerful in a game.

Well wow.
Subjectivity, I know, but people here scream DOOOOOOOM because of a lone and often subjective phrase all the time, so just this once let me squee over a single subjective phrase.

By the way, out of curiosity, has anyone heard how many time jumps there are roughly? I assume each time jump covers a particular plot thread that, when taken together, form a cohesive whole.

Edit: And yeah, I'd second Purple. I also read the PC Gamer review scans and what they said makes me hopefuly for the choice and consequences etc. in the game.

Orsino-s staff is a legendary Bloodmage staff so my guess is that he doesn't obey the rules. It would not suprise me if he is the games big bad.

Marionetten should put that in the OP.  That's a very strong statement.

That's the game which I was waiting for so long, there, right there.

Not sure where he got it from but it's certainly not from the Swedish review.

Does this mean they praise the relationship-building and romantic storylines?

All I have to say about this is... OHH HELL YEAH!

The stuff above about who you can side with pretty much gurantees 3 seperate play throughs just to see what the ramifications of siding with each of the factions leads too( although I know I'm definetely doing more than 3 playthroughs...).

I almost added in an edit to ask if he was reading the Swedish PC Gamer review... so we'll see I guess.

Which comes from the UK version of the magazine which gave the game 94, not the Swedish one that gave it 85, so he shouldn't put it in the OP.
