Not, it's not. Gamespot gave it the same score. Let's wait and see what score they'll give DA2.

Which comes from the UK version of the magazine which gave the game 94, not the Swedish one that gave it 85, so he shouldn't put it in the OP.
I thought my reply above would make the implication that I agree rather clear. He should have had it been in the Swedish review, but it wasn't so he shouldn't.

That dose not matter.
All scores on every major gaming site is payed for in advanced through Add campaigns and access to "exclusive" content.
AND YES i mean EVERY big gaming site.

Alternatively, you can wait to see if Destructoid's Jim Sterling reviews it. If he dislikes it, then the game is awesome.PhrosniteAgainROFL wrote...
Just wait for Dave Snider's review on giantbomb. If he likes it then the game is AWESOME!

Are you f-ing kidding me? You kids make me laugh. Giantbomb's own Dave Snider gave it a 5/5 = 10/10 and when asked where it stands in his top RPG said it was very high. If you knew anything about giant bomb you would know they can't be bought. They gave FF13 a 3/5, GT 5 a 3/5 and many other high profile games got 4 and below on their site.

Is that why FF13 got a 4/10?

Expect 20-30 hours for your first playthrough. Way shorter than Origins but not too short according to the review.
It depends on the player... Mike Laidlaw said it's longer than ME2(35hours) but shorter than DA:O(75hours) so I expect 40-50 hours to finish.
The biggest German gaming journal said that main quest takes about 12-15 hours to complete and all in all, about 30 hours with all sidequests. Their biggest point of criticism also was that the entire game had such a "rushed" feeling, including things like dated graphics, an extremely short main plot (for a RPG), boring level recycling and the lack of an isometric camera (thanks to all the console players for making Bioware remove the cam, we PC gamers love having chunky controls).
Not much of a surprise though, with only 18 months to make a game, it's only natural that some parts get rushed. Welcome to EA customer policy.

The person who cannot be boughtdoes not existis extremely rareprobably doesn't view game reviews as where they draw the line with regards to their integrity. Everyone has their price. It isn't always money. But that's off topic, and I don't really have an opinion as to which sites are questionable and which aren't. I trust my own judgment.
This. I read a lot of reviews about games, and I find only few that are similar to my experience. I don't care what other people (official reviews or other players) said about a game, because what a person feel while playing a game is completely different from what I feel.

DA2 will probably get bad reviews because it will actually have a good story. In other words, most videogame reviewers are people who only play videogames about saving the world, watch movies about saving the world, read comic books about saving the world, etc. The story of DA2 will confuse and alienate them probably.
Oh, so unlike the reviewers, you already played the game and know that it has a good story? Interesting.
Oh wait.

Just because the biggest German gaming journal claims that the main plot is 12~15 hours doesnt mean it is indeed 12~15 hours.
There were other game journals that claimed the game was 30 hours (The main plot if I remember correctly.)
The game might have been rushed but since they only upgraded DAO engine a little bit I do not think it was super rushed or anything, They already had the basic stuff ready for the game.
I will wait untill IGN or Gamespot reviews are up, after all even in this forum there are people who claims that Origin tooked 20 hours or 100 hours...
anyway I just hope Devs told us the truth that the game is longer than ME2 and shorter than DAO and should take average gamers about 50 hours... (for me It shuold be about 30 hours I guess... always completed the game faster than what the devs claimed.

How long did the main and sidequests take them in DAO? In isolation these numbers are totally meaningless because they're subjective.

I call BS on that. Also the isometric camera su**ed in DA:O!!! I wish you could zoom out a bit more in DA2 though(not isometric!!!)

Maybe it will suck balls, I guess that's possible. My point is that the writers have said they are trying something new, and most game reviewers probably won't be able to appreciate it. Pearls before swine, you know.
Also, I'd rather play a game that tries to experiment with the kind of story it tells and then fails instead of a game that tells the same story I've heard a million times well.

Console players asked Bioware to remove the isometric camera? If there isn't any isometric camera in DA2 the responsibility is of Bioware, not console gamers.

I believe that this gaming journale (if is one of the German review) completed DAO in 40-50 hours.

The only thing new about their storytelling is that it is ten years narrative told by a dwarf, people knows if it is a good story or not by playing it, just because it is new doesnt mean ALL the reviewrs looking down on it, and for the most reviewrs that have reviewed the game seems to point out that the game does not have strong Main Plot so in my opinion it might not be that good.
