Oh yeah forgot to include this earlier. I also asked this to the advisor when I finally got her too look at my original
email:

Me: "Can you tell me what empathy is?"

Her: "Sorry Sir I do not understand"

Me: "Its a word meaning too understand and appreciate the feelings I have in regards to the issue. Essentially putting yourself in my postition.
If you were to send this email how would you expect a reply to it?"

Her: "... ... ... Sorry Sir your order for the Signature Edition has been Cancelled"

I dont know if I should laugh or cry at that!!   They really dont have any idea how to treat customers!

Sold out ? cant sell out of something they supposedly never had to begin with.
The woman i spoke to told me that the supplier didnt send any copies of sig ed at all.

Play is a beast with many heads, its finding the right head to speak to thats the problem.

Any idea when Bioware will address this issue because it's getting very close to the release date :(

thats what gets me the most frustrated, that its less than 2 weeks before release, if there truel was a stock issue, it should have come up ages ago. What have they been doing since Jan 11th???

Whats the betting that it turns out that sig ed was the CE edition even though a CE was never announced at all.

According to this thread: http://social.biowar...index/6011608/1

DA2 'went gold' 17 days ago. The thread says going gold means its been shipped off to the manufacturer to be turned into retail copies.

There have been cancellation threads from play.com popping up over the forums long before then. So how could they have had a stock issue before the game was even finished? D:

I ordered my copy the 29/11/2010 according to Play on Xbox 360 and it still has my pre order down as the signature edition.

I get the horrible feeling that the day it gets delivered it's either going to be the standard edition or it won't come at all. If play have cancelled all of the SE pre orders, why are they only telling certain people and leaving others to just wait and see. I can't see myself ordering off Play again after this mess.

It's not been cancelled so far, even though I preordered way later than all you guys... :/

From the different threads I've been reading the 360 seems to be taking the biggest hit.

mine has yet to be "officially" cancelled too, it seems to be incredibly random.

Ok being clever again I rang up and managed to get the email for their legal department (Dont ask who I pretended to be, and it still took over 20 minutes to get)   ^_^.   They still refuse to give out telephone numbers to speak to anyone in the UK though.  Which being a UK company is pretty horrific.

So presently I have an email sent to marketing and legal and one addressed to the CEO.     Surely one of those people will email me back.  Going to think of some other ways to get contact details and see what happens.

I still cant get over it!!    "Sorry sir its an issue for headoffice so I cant help you, but im not giving you any details to get in contact with them and I wont contact them either!! No we cant transfer you as we dont have a direct number"

Shame on you Play and your joke of a company!!!

That's what I've gathered. I feel bad, being an American who ordered from Gamestop online pretty much means I'm good to go.

I wish I could just get a few Signature Editions sent out to those who missed out on their copies.

Look for play.com on here. There are some alternative UK numbers, not sure if they work or not but it might be worth a try.

My cup of rage is almost at it's fullest. My shift at work is almost finished so I'm looking to call these guppies up at some point tonight.

Crash, any suggestions on how I should question the staff so I don't get completely stonewalled?

Thanks lovebugs.   I tried a couple of those earlier but they either divert to the main line or are dead which is a shame.

Im having no joy finding any numbers for them in the UK.  I tried to see if I could find phone numbers for the buildings they are in England and Jersey.   I even phoned a company down the road from one of their business park offices in the off chance they had a emergency number or something.

If I lived closer I would get in my car and drive there in person!!

I really am trying, I really am!!

Wow I did not order from these guys, but I will be sure to stay away from them.

Bioware must be in discussions with them as we speak... or they are the reason the orders were canceled and are thinking of something to save face(or will never say anything).. and thats the reason they have no said anything.

I and not so much a doom and gloom guy so I will go with the first choice.

Found this blog doing a search on play.com and DA2. Dunno if the person who wrote it posts here or if someone else posted it yet:

http://www.aeterna.n...-play-com-woes/
http://www.aeterna.n...lay-com-woes-2/
http://www.aeterna.n...lay-com-woes-3/

They had quite the run-around and in the end still had no answers given. Plus at one point even when they got to a UK office they were first "mislead" about the availability of the contact person.

Wonder if Bioware EU is getting a similar run-around if it is so hard to get anyone at a UK office...
