I heard that it takes longer to level up then from origins. Has this been confirmed?
Yes, levelling up is relevant to the game you're playing. We can't compare it to Origins and say "Awww, only level 20?" That would be irrelevant.

I think an example of how NOT to do it would be like New Vegas, where you only get a perk every other level. So only every other level is really fun. It's like the level cap isn't really 35 but half of that.

it matters cuz everytime i gain a level its like a milestone i reached and i feel like i accomplished something and they are only letting me do that 20 times max. thats bull crap.
and i bet all you people out there who are defending this let me guess - would you like an RPG if it only let you level up to say Level 5 and it was a 60 hour game? what would you say then? "Oh it dont matter cuz i like that stuff yay!"

The cap is at 50 but you're only gonna get enough xp for the midtwenties

i'm sorry but I like gaining levels its one of the funnest things about RPG's in my mind.
its progression, it feels good. its the idea of accomplishment.

Level 20 is godly in most RPGs and D&D. In origins you maxed out pretty much all abilities by level 21 for a warrior and rogue

well thats even more stupid that they would even say that the cap is 50 getting peoples hopes up like me knowing damn well that you would only ever be able to reach like mid 20's. WTF? WHY EVEN SAY 50 is the cap???? YOU CAN NEVER GET THERE! EVER!
It's for expansions. And levelling up is not the point of RPGs. At least it wasn't until MMOs came along and all of a sudden any game with a level-up system became an RPG. Rapid levelling removes all meaning and sense of achievement.

Yea for real, character developement was never a core mechanic. It was always about watching someone elses adventure right?

Don't care, more levels to gain = more fun.
Disagree. Dead levels, where little to nothing is gained, is very boring and not fun. So long as leveling up is consistantly meaningful, I'm cool.

Well, yes. I'd also say "hey, that's just like the first BW game I ever played."
