I've had Wynne in the party since early in the game and her approval rating is over ninety. I've done her personal quest. Some sources (including the Prima game guide) say she should be able to unlock the Spirit Healer specialisation for me, while others say you can only get it from a tome. There's no dialogue option to discuss this with her, whereas with every other companion I've been able to at least ask about their specialisations even if their approval wasn't yet high enough that they'd agree to teach me.
If it's intentional that you can only get Spirit Healer from the book, I'm happy to go get it. However, given that some players seem to have been able to get this from Wynne, I was wondering if this is a bug?

The manual is wrong. The devs confirmed it in another thread. Wynne doesn't exactly control her ability, so she can't teach it.

Ha! I knew it! I've spent so much time trying to convince that crone to teach me spirit healer... Oh well, good thing I gave up and bought the book, then reloaded the game, heh.

Wynne doesn't teach it, you can buy Spirit Healer manual in Wonder of Thedas cmiiw
