How much is the VS worth to you? (Hypothetic "Arrival - Last Stand" scenarios. With poll.)

They started a war on Horizon, hopefully I'll finish it in Arrival.

And it utterly failed. Even if "tell Sheppy about your daddy issues then succumb to his talk-jutsu-indoctrination" can pass for "character development", only Mordin can rival Ashley or Kaidan. They were indeed very developed characters. For example, Ashley:DxWill10 wrote...
The entire point of the ME2 cast was in depth charcter development.
- Biography: Alliance Marine, blacklisted despite all her best scores
- Family issues (a whole bunch of them, and receiving a whole new angle these days)
- "Racism"
- Hate of Cerberus
- Religious beliefs
- Poetry
That's at least six distinct characteristics, while most of the ME2 squadmates have no more than two or three.
I'm not saying it's bad for any character to have less baggage. For example, such a crude guy like Zaeed doesn't need more than one "dimension" to be pure awesome. But it doesn't bode well to a "character driven plot", when all characters tend to be like that once their specific plot line is complete.

This.

-Ash neither asks for nor expects help in her personal problems. She likes who she is and solves her problems on her own.

My favorite Ash line
"......this is who I am Shepard, I like her and you better like her too...."

Well Ash is me Li in my Main Paragon and I have all surviving members.....
So I can either can let her die and save my ME2 team for ME3; most likely helping be prepare for The Reapers OR saving the woman I once had familiar relations with.... THIS IS TOUGH!

It depends, but if there is one character I would NEVER sacrifice to save an another one : it would be Miranda. I would prefer sacrifice my Shepard, instead.
I beleive its the mirror of how some of us feel about VS

As to whether or not I could do it ... I developed emotions for the ME1 characters, even Liara although I was creeped out by her rather than liking her. I didn't really develop any emotions for the ME2 characters beyond Garrus and Tali for whom I already felt some affection. So, if I boiled my choice down to simply which characters made the ME trilogy worth playing and replaying because I (the player) cared, a lot of my ME2 squaddies are SOL. If I made the choice in a more RP manner, it gets messier because I can see my Sheps liking or respecting quite a few of the ME2 squaddies despite BioWare's lack of ability to make me (the player) feel that. I could see sacrificing Thane or maybe Jack, but even that would be tough.

I would just like to say the fact that this forum has 68 people who are willing to kill their entire team for one character has just solidified my lack of faith in humanity.
What can I say? Some of these entirely fictional characters had more of an impression on us than others

My other Shepard, she isn't very interested in either of those characters, in ME1 she was more interested in the aliens. Giving the VS option I was all like wait who are these two people wanting to sacrifice themselves, haven't seen them since Eden Prime.

Morinth, I need to get rid of anyway so that's another.
Jacob's pretty meh and I'm sure he'd be willing to go.
I don't really need Miranda..
And Zaeed seems the type to want to go out in a blaze of glory so if he's up for it I won't stop him.
So what's that? 4-5 squadmates.

Kaiden was supposed to be my right hand man. I could understand him not wanting to join my crew because of Cerberus, but I would have expected a little bit less **** from him.
On top of that, it seemed to me that he sold Shepard out in exchange for a promotion. Why is it that an Alliance engineer would sacrifice his career defending your position on the Reapers, but the one guy who helped you FIGHT them didn't say a damn thing?
