Ok it's only a few days till release!

FESS UP!

I  love my new avatar -laughing-

Back on topic:

Where will the party stay? Is there a camp or home or what?
Why are the mages robes even uglier than ever??!! FUGLY! Really.. WAY worse than before! :o

Why does everyone have enough cleavage to drop a dog in , Except my character!
I want Flemith or Bethany's robes! Not the cow droppings I got! Gods my Nightgown I bought 20 years ago looks better! :crying:

I hope you won't have 14 people all standing around in the same room like you did in Awakenings! :pinched:

10 years of gameplay? Well then. What is the story!

Come on! What are you waiting for??!! Fess up!

In a van down by the river. No, really, there are places to stay and you will find out when you play the game.

Why are the mages robes even uglier than ever??!! FUGLY! Really.. WAY worse than before! :o

Because not everyone can be a fashion maven like you. Also, they were designed by lind Argentinian children who are only familiar with CGA graphics.

Why does everyone have enough cleavage to drop a dog in , Except my character!

Because we thought Anders, Varric, and Fenris should look similarly to everyone else. Also, we are staffed entirely by teenaged boys and drunk fraternity brothers.

I want Flemith or Bethany's robes! Not the cow droppings I got! Gods my Nightgown I bought 20 years ago looks better! :crying:

Not a question. You can put your nightgown, or any other more fashionable clothing, into the game. Just scan it, cut it out, and tape it to your monitor over your character, or any other character. To animate this clothing like you see other characters being animated, tape a flip book to your monitor.

I hope you won't have 14 people all standing around in the same room like you did in Awakenings! :pinched:

Not a question. We have more than that, if by 14 you mean several dozen, and by room you mean city.

10 years of gameplay? Well then. What is the story!

No, there are, as one reviewer said, upwards of 50 hours of gameplay. 10 years is the timespan of the story, which is, in general terms, "rise to power... by any means necessary."

Come on! What are you waiting for??!! Fess up!

We are waiting for you to play the game and find out these answers for yourself, obviously. ;)

EDIT: Awwww, Beerfish beat me to it.

Can we punch babies and kick retired elders in the face in order to achive power?

You'll have to play the game to find out, but as a hint: D-DF-F LP LP K ('Bkspc F4 Ctrl-Shft-U Ins P B B Y' on PC) might be a secret combo.

I suppose you'll have to play the game to find out.

oh my :o

I wrote it down on a post-it! I have to try and see what it does when the game is released :o

(I really hope it's not some superhack that erases my harddisc... :C)

in that case, i wouldn't recommend trying it... if you catch my drift. *conspiratorial wink*

Will we ever search for the missing cheese?

You'll have to play the game to find out. in early builds, before we got final art assets into the game, the cheese was used as a placeholder for various objects. that's probably where the joke originated.

When will Cassandra kiss Varric?

She doesn't, but probably sheds wistful tears at night wondering the same thing.

Will the dog be able to dance?

You'll have to play the game to find out.

Will Flemeth ever troll Hawke?

You'll have to play the game to find out.

Is Sebastian available for enchantment?

No, Sebastian Hanlon is a programmer and therefore not eligible. he has no rune slots, if you know what I mean.

So will we be able to read the text on consoles without having to project the screen onto a nearby mountain wall? Just for reference, it's not possible to in the demo.

It is possible, since many people have been able to do so. Whether you yourself will be able to is a different matter, but that's not something I can answer as I'm not an optometrist.

Okay... Why are elves so short?

A wizard did it.

Can we, in the next game of course, make a tall elf? Anyone planning that far ahead? Or can anyone see into the future and tell me? Either/Or.

If you put your monitor on a higher shelf, you will look up at the elf and it may seem taller. I woulld like us to make a taller elf for NBADA '12, but no one listens to my ideas.

No, the dwarves might have something to say about that.

Can I still wear a dress while playing as a Mage?

You can wear whatever you like in the comfort of your own home. I don't judge.

When can I get stubby with teammates, after I get to know them or right from the start?

Is that what the kids are calling it these days? Sounds a little naughty.

Does Oghrin ever beat the bet involving a barrel of pickle juice?

Wait, is that the kids are calling it these days? Definitely sounds naughty.

Will my staff make pew pew sounds after repeated uses?

I'm thinking you should see a doctor about that, if that's what's happening.

I heard that giant swords now can hit many enemies at once, is this true?

Yes, it's true you heard that.

What kind of protection does a shield give against magic attacks?

Against magic missiles, lots. Against magic trains, none at all.

Can Fenrir walk through walls?

According to Norse mythology, Fenrir can do pretty much whatever it wants.

Exactly what use does Merril have for Blood Magic?

What use does any mage have for blood magic?

How hard is it to sustain dog?

Well, you have to walk it and feed it and walk it and clean up after it, so if you're not ready for that responsibility, you can have a goldfish instead.

Does rock armor chaff? I personally need to know this...

No, it is quite comfortable.

EDIT: Even Norse isn't safe from the language filter.

as far as I understand it the moderators are paid to moderate the forums,

Incorrect. Moderators are all volunteers. They do this because they love us and want to help the community. We couldn't run this community well if we didn't have them, and we are grateful for their enthusiasm, professionalism, and helpfulness. Except Beerfish, of course, that guy's a monkeypants. :P

however the developers choose to post during their free time either because they
care about us
enjoy mocking us
secretly plan to hypnotise us into helping them take over the world with minature giant space hamsters
or in some cases, all of the above at the same time

Sounds about right. :) We love you guys. Yes, even Beerfish... sometimes.

Really, since this is so subjective and such a big deal to you, I would be reluctant to be the cause of any financial distress. For you, I would recommend reading a few reviews before making a purchase decision.

Also why isn't there an arcane warrior build? That's the coolest one in the entire game!

Because we didn't put one in the game.

Why don't we get a spear/lance option for a weapon.

Each class has some signature weapons and we wanted to keep it simple yet awesome. Having many more weapon styles would have made things more awesome, sure, but much more complex, since weapons are also tied to classes and abilities this time around. And we QA guys don't like complex nearly as much as you think we do.

Will we get to be half naked Spartans in any Dragon Age title!?!

No, Spartans don't exist in the world of Dragon Age.

Is there any chance I could get a serious question answered?

There's always a chance.

You know, one that doesn't involve my being ridiculed? =p

Oh... well... maybe not... but I'll try.

There
have been comments from many reviewers that environments (i.e specific
locations) have been recycled frequently in the story - is this a case
of L4D2 recycled items (minor weapon textures/models) or a case of
FO3:NV (immense recycling of just about everything)?

It's a case of Dragon Age II (some areas are pretty large and can be rotated to look/feel different, and some are smaller areas that are generic-looking enough to be repurposed. Kirkwall areas have the same layout between daytime and nighttime, but look, feel, and play somewhat differently. and technically, the Kirkwall areas at different points of the game may also be "recycled" since the city's not going to look exactly the same over 10 years.)

The Cave of Dar'Missu - Hawke visits this cave in three different
quests, but for different reasons. For example, Hawke kills a group of
bandits in the cave on one occasion, summons a demon and defeats it on
another, and lastly lures a political foe to his death using the cave as
an ambush. Three different objectives, but still the exact level with minor changes.

Then all I can say is maybe.
