i ran the DA 2 PC demo yesterday and besides not so stellar performance i saw graphical glitches in the terrain.
my vidcard is a GTX 580 so it should be able to handle this game well, but has anyone else seen any sign of texture problems?
besides these txture issues, i was also not too happy with the framerate. it felt very jerky.
any idea why?
hardware:
i7 860
8GB RAM
GTX 580
all other games run very good on my PC

The demo has problems with the DX11 renderer on Nvidia cards.

I've got an NVidia GTX460M video card.
On my 1st try, DX11 was practically stuttering.
So I googled around and found the solution to this.
Do not use the "configure" pop up screen to adjust your video settings at the start of the game.
After you start the demo game, choose the highest settings for DX9.
Run the demo a bit and then alter the video settings to the DX11 (all max).
Exit the demo.
Restart it.
I used all the max graphics settings and the demo ran very smoothly at 1920 x 1080. BTW, on my system, I get slightly better FPS with "V Sync" turned off.
