I will take at least an hour to get what I think looks great, after my first few cutscenes I will hate his face. ME/DA:O/ME2, always happens. I'm just glad we get the mirror this time around.
How many of you will slave over the creation of your character?

I will probably spend my first, incoherent, sleep-deprived hours with the game tweaking away on my Hawke's face only to wake up the next morning and realize how hideous it looks. And start again. But, in all honesty, I love making my character.

Isn't avoiding it on at least one playthrough incentive enough?Filament wrote...

I refuse to hear Hawke's voice until I've designed my first face. I don't want to associate the voice with the default head.Kloreep wrote...
I should probably just use the default face first time through. Then come back and build some custom faces later for further playthroughs.
Won't you have to deal with that sort of problem anyway on your second playthrough?

I spend around 15 minutes creating my first character. I sometimes find that they look different in game then in the creator so I go back and remake a few times!
Unless I am 100% I do not like the prospect of being stuck with it!
I will play female Hawke (being female myself). Apart from the tweak to her eyes and face shape, I think she looks good for default...
Saying that, I was disappointed with the choices in DA:O. The hair looked like 80's wings plonked on top of their heads that stuck out to much to be 'their hair' and the faces all looked odd.

In the creator, I get to the point where I'm satisfied with how my character looks, then I start playing... Theres ALWAYS something (lighting, certain camera angles, etc.) that makes me scrap it and start over... Strangely, Mass Effect was different... Sheploo was satisfactory.

I expect to add 2-3 hours of me remaking my character after I see him in combat and notice a flaw I didn't see in the creator.
It took me awhile to complete the mass effect series to date just because of the fact that I needed the perfect linear shepard for the trilogy.
