I'm not sure if being a widow changes the distinction with regards to this, but I would be surprised.

I do believe the proper title is Mrs. Miss implies she is unwed.

Um...okay? Everybody attacked the ogre. She was grieving and upset, as one of her sons had just been killed. I wasn't surprised that she lashes out at you (the oldest one).
Actually it makes no sense and it is without trying to offend, retarded. Carver defended her mother from the Ogre, it was her fault he died. Hawke was waaay of-screeen when it happend.

'Why did you let him charge of like that?'

A widowed woman is usually Mrs. by default unless she prefers Ms.
I actually just googled this, I was curious myself! Haha
Some women even keep their bills and such under the husband's name, ie Mrs. Malcolm Hawke!
In the Netherlands they get their maiden name back after 12 months unless they prefer to keep the deceased husbands name!
The more you know! Bahaha

Indeed, as the journal even said that you are the eldest sibling and taken up a role of looking after your younger ones.

It's too bad the ogre didn't take care of mama Hawke in addition. She's annoying.
Plot armor. She's probably got to live long enough to introduce you to the family in Kirkwall. She can have a heart attack immediately afterwards. Otherwise...
"Who are you?"
"I'm your long-lost neice Bethany!"
"Never heard of you. Go away!"

Must be an idiot to try to solo an ogre...Metalunatic wrote...
She was devastated and said things she didn't mean. Carver didn't act like a ''moron'', he protected his mother and ended up sacrificing himself.

She wasn't the only one who lost someone. Beth lost her brother, Carver his sister. Hawke either. Casting blame on anyone in that situation is just stupid, no more and no less. I could understand if Hawke told him to attack, like in the exaggerated part. But he acted foolish on his own with no option for anything to stop him. Well same with Beth. So anyway I decided already to have a rivalty going with mom Hawke if possible, and in any other dialogue I will just snap at her for no reason. Unless she apologizes, which I doubt.andar91 wrote...

yeah but why blame hawke?
Agree. She was the only one within arm's reach of Carver.
It's like me dropping a plate in the kitchen and then walking to my brother in the living room and saying "HOW COULD YOU LET THAT PLATE BREAK?!"
Grieving is no excuse, PlayerHawke just lost his brother too. It's not like Carver was just some random person to him/her.
