[Woodstock504]

 I was thinking, If they made a movie it would have to be as good as the game.  So I kind-of came up with an opinion on a cast.  Tell me whatcha think, and add your own opinions.  I've only listed human characters.  aliens will most likely be voice-overs. (some Characters may or may not be dead in your story but I added everyone I could think of) sure we'll see new ones in ME3.  I think my David, Kasumi, Ashley, and Kaidan are right on the mark (for number 1). look up the names to see the resemblence.

Lmao, Thats hella funny, nice resemblence, and would make a good Military man too. Denzel could barely pass.  I still say Anderson is a Larence Fishburne clone. maybe not the best selection of photos but you get the point. ears,nose, chin, eyebrows lol, hairline, skin tone and complexion, head width...

Why do people continue to insist that her accent is Russian? BioWare were not exactly subtle with the arabic themes the Quarian's have going on.

I think Kaidan looks more Italian than anything.. That guy looks Asian.

Kaidan is most likely part Asian himself. "Kaidan" comes from an Asian language (Japanese), his mother was exposed to eezo in Singapore, and in ME1 he mentions that his father lives in Vancouver, which has a very robust Asian community.

For me the most important thing isn't that the actor LOOK exactly like the videogame character (within reason of course, certain characters will require a certain level of physical and athletic prowess), but more important is the core essence of the character in question. Anyway, in no particular order of preference...



Shepard: Christian Bale, Alex O'Loughlin, Sam Worthington, Chris Hemsworth



Ashley: Michelle Rodriguez, Jessica Biel, Cote de Pablo, and to really embarrass myself by admitting to have seen an episode of Hellcats (a putrid show but my god there are some hotties), Heather Hemmens



Kaidan: Ian Anthony Dale



Liara (LI): Emma Stone



Tali: Liz Sroka (assuming the quarians aren't CGI, she looks like she's in good enough shape to do enough running around to play Tali, who after all isn't a special forces commando or anything)



Joker: Seth Green



Anderson: Keith David



Benezia: ?



Turians, krogan, salarians, geth (and possibly the quarians) would all be CGI, so I'd support the original voice actors.



And looking ahead to ME2:



Miranda: Yvonne Strahovski



Jacob: Tyrese Gibson



Zaeed: Jean Reno, Jason Statham



Kasumi: Kelly Hu, Grace Park, Jamie Chung



Samara: Kate Beckinsale

Why do people continue to insist that her accent is Russian? BioWare were not exactly subtle with the arabic themes the Quarian's have going on.

I always read the Quarians as Eastern European gypsies.  Without the more objectionable aspects of gypsies, but saddled with many of the same negative perceptions.

Quarian accents are not consistent. One of the admirals had a british accent. Tali has a russian-ish accent, others have more arabic-sounding accents. Not sure how this could be explained in that particular culture, but I've always read them as a cross between arabic nomads and the Romani gypsies of east europe and russia.

Agreed.  There are way more actors\\actresses that could be matched based on personality, appearance, or movie backround that I couldn't think of, and its fun and funny to compare them to the characters.  If one day they make a movie, we can look back on these. nice list.
