I'm hoping this will be the first Bioware game where the majority of players play as a female protagonist.  Usually in Bioware games the vast majority of players play as the male protagonist, but for some reason I get the feeling that a lot of people (at least here on the boards) are going female protagonist for this game.

Bioware should have stats on this from the demo, so tell us!

I never did understand this rivalry between the genders...
But, as always, I'll stick to playing male characters.

Of course not.  But I'll still refer to Hawke as a she.

i'll have multiple playthroughs of both.

However, the Ladyhawke VO has me leaning towards play female first, which is not something i usually do.

No, they shouldn't tell us because then all the MaleHawke and FemaleHawke haters will have statistics to throw around as they scream at each other about which one is best.

The forums are a very skewed sampling. There's very complex factors involved here that don't exactly apply to the game itself.

I'd imagine why most people play as a male is because the majority of gamers are male and can relate better to a male character

I'll be playing as a female, as always.

Mind you, even if everyone on the BSN played as femHawke, it still wouldn't be many compared to all the other people.

I'll take my Lady-Hawke, thank you. Strong female leads are all kinds of sexy.

But I'll probably give Hawke-Man a go, he delivers the aggressive lines very well.

Usually I don't ever play as a female in any game, but female hawke is pretty sexy.

I might make a female warrior on my later walkthroughs unless Casandra becomes a companion.

I am female, but I shall be playing a male in the game. Yes, we do exist.

I'll be playing Garrett 99% of the time and maybe one playthrough with Marian. I've always played as male characters in DA:O so I guess that won't change. That and Garrett delivers the serious lines way better than Marian. Her sarcastic/aggressive lines don't sound imposing at all.

I'm the type of male gamer who never ( I mean never ) rolls a female character. This time around, Fem Hawke is going to be my Rogue character and she will be bad ass. I'd say that's quite the feat for DA2.

I always play the female character when available and don't usually like playing the male character. But this is the first time that I actually want to play the male (and default!) version. I'll still have a Marian Hawke (or two), but there will definitely be a Garrett Hawke playthrough for me.

Playing femhawke (although I play female first in Any RPG, it's what I do) but I have noticed that Lady Hawke has a very Femshep like fanbase.

No no and no.  I'm male.  I play male toons.  I have ZERO interest in playing a female....ZERO.

Like I said in a previous thread....if you're a male and your wish is to roleplay a female....then have fun! ;)

Edit: darn typos...

I usually play female characters, I think I relate to them more (I'm a girl). But male Hawke is all kinds of sexy, so I'm really torn this time....I'll probably try both.

On these forums? Likely. In general? No.

As for me. I'll be playing as a guy.
