I think that out of all changes so far presented, I dislike these the most in following order:

-Absurd magical abilities of every character in combat-like Rogue teleporting, Ninja-Mages, Magical Archery
-Lack of choice in background
-Terrible art design

What are your top three picks?

Probably the camera. Just put top-down and detachable back in please.

Mechanically, the rest of it looks mostly fine to me.

I could suffer the VO'd protag, but i doubt whether or not i will be able to stomach more than one play through worth of ninja teleporting and ridiculous leaps and flips.

This. I also dislike the lack of background choice too. And the voice-acting! Compared to Origins it's just... ugh. Hopefully it'll be good in the actual game though. Posted Image

The fact that Greg Ellis no longers plays Anders. I love the art style, I can appreciate that Hawke's past has to be fixed for the story to make sense, I enjoy the fast-paced Hack'n'Slash style combat. I always found DA:O's combat to be quite dull and laborious. Hurrah for DA2, spicing things up a little. Or a lot.

I might not have played it yet, but at the moment, I can only praise what I have seen.

*sigh* I shouldn't be contributing to the counter-productiveness, but...

...the developers said they buffed warriors and rogue rather than nerfing mages. Mages have been nerfed. Not horribly, but...Roland is a sad mage-tank.

Indeed. What was the logic in that?

These two, although I wouldn't call art design terrible. Step down from Origins though.

Third would be button smashing. I hate it. Hopefully there will be an auto attack option...

Otherwise seems to be an ok game, nothing spectacular. Combat seems to be less tactical and more hack n' slash though which is a step down from Origins. I don't know if it's just the demo though.

I'm okay with it. I'd trade no background choices for a better developed character. We'll see if that works out.

Well I bought into the franchise after David Gaider gave an interview saying the Dragon Age franchise was to be traditional "going back to our roots ".Theres nothing wrong with traditional he said.

Wow lasted one iteration and they turned into ME2 style and hack 'n' slash.

Topic will be locked but you asked so i gave my opinion.

This.

Though I'll say that the protagonist's voice is pretty terrible (at least the male one) and the actual script for him seems worse.  I spent much of the demo trying to pick the conversation option that would make him least likely to say something that made me want to murder kittens.

the load timers. they did a nice job with everything else. cant judge too much from a demo though. even one that they said they have worked on since.

I'd say it's the restriction of weapon types to certain classes.

meaning no sword-wielding mage, DW warrior, etc.

I've accepted this long ago and am still looking forward to the game.

But, a part of me still wishes we could play as a spell-sword Arcane Warrior type..........

As for the Demo? I whould say the death scene, an unfinish bow and that the companion AI sucked in some places as they got stuck. For the game idk we see.

I agree, although i'm a little skeptic about the art style, but what the hell. Good graphics doesn't make good games. Posted Image

The awkward loading.  I'd prefer longer load screens and fewer interruptions in fluid conversation between Cassandra and Varric, etc.  Very poorly exectued on that aspect.

It's an issue only in the demo. The devs said it's not in the final build (something about changing cutscene loading or whatever it was). Hmm,  think it went away after I turned off v-sync in the demo. However, I turned off v-sync for an entirely different reason (may or may not work for you).

the only thing that i don't like in da2 is that the items from inventory aren't colored anymore and most of them look the same
