I'd say the hack'n'slash theme the game now pursues.

They just confirmed the final version wont have in-cutscene pausing. Really, really stupid change. Not everyone is a hermit with their phone disconnected.

The Japanese hack&slash style combat animations definitely something i wouldn't want to see in any WRPG.

You've never really played a JRPG have you?  They're turn based...  less hack and flash than even the original Dragon Age.

You can blame dynstasy warriors for peoples confusion about the term JRPG.

I don't think people think DW when thinking of JRPG more so Bayonette and Devil May Cry.

I was gonna include both of those but honestly i didn't recall any rpg elements in DMC2? So i didn't include it, 2 being the last one i played and pretty much the last of that genre except for legacy of kain games. LoK series was amazing for its type.

Isabela's model in DA:O was generic, now she is awesome!!! I don't know how can people complain about stupid things like that.
The Elves are different now. They are not just humans with pointy ears and tattoos.

I'm not saying I don't like Isabela now it's just that why even put her into the party why not just make a new pirate chick? Seems odd to change a whole characeter just to make her a more interesting party companion.

As to a retcon
1. (original meaning) Adding information to the back story of a
fictional character or world, without invalidating that which had gone
before.

2. (more common usage) Adding or altering information regarding the
back story of a fictional character or world, regardless of whether the
change contradicts what was said before.

That holding tab doesn't display health bars.

You can toggle it on, but not in the demo (it's in the options)

That's good news.

Paraphrasing. Wich the wheel has nothing to with, it's just another way to display dialogue.

For the people saiyng the animations look JRPG check this: and this:

AND: Giant weapons and giant armor is a common ocurrence in RPG. And it's only the width the 2H Swords that look giantsih.

I agree, (noticable downgrade) but I thought this was about mechanical changes.

I loved ME2 but I love changing the armor appearance of my team in ME2 I wasn't able to do that they had set armor's and you could only change the color's if they became loyal. Now I hear their doing the same thing in Dragon Age 2 darn I love tweaking out armor piece's seeing Wade and having him craft dragon scales and pissing off his friend and the diffrent mage armor's though there could have been a better variety to those in my opionon. I definatly like seeing the mage useing his or her staff in the demo over the origional DA:O mage staff point and shoot. I always felt Rogue's were an unfinished class in DA:O and it's nice to see them getting some extra love in DA:2 it's all kinda dizzy though. An I have to say voice over's for the male is rather bland and dry and couldn't help but hit the ESC key to get through his conversations, probably play the female version and I have to say Flemeth looks absolutly AMAZING she scares me as well as makes me all giddy. The rest of the game we'll just have to wait and see when it come's out....

Of coarse this is just a Demo most things in a Demo are only a sample and things that are not set in stone in the full version such as the camera all these things may well be in place in the full version of the game we will have to wait and see.

-the giant weapons (most noticeably that huge axe on the woman, Isabella ninja star'd)
-the flask kick, teleporting and all the flipping around
-the Art design like the new redisigned darkspawn, plastic hair and glowing eyes

that's three, right?:bandit:

-Darkspawn.

-No armor change.

-The targeting is horrible. You made the game faster and gave us no easy way to correctly target quickly. For the love of all that is holy give us an option to make our other party memebers nonselectable by clicking on them. Ive only played the demo and i am already annoyed at how many times i have switched chars by trying to click the darkspawn next to them,

This, but I still have some hopes for it.
