1.) Merril looking like a 13-15 year old you can bonk, wtf bioware?

2.) Lady Hawke's bizarre running animation... I don't think I've ever seen a living person move like that. Is it because people complained FemShep wasn't feminine enough? Too far in the other direction guys! Too far!

3.) Mages spinning around for no reason when firing a shot. Looks flashy, but also needlessly silly

4.) Flemmeth looking like Maleficent's less stylish sister (The voice acting was great though props to Kate Mulgrew)

5.) dull vector menu system, looks like something I came up with in my Tafe Multimedia class "Quickly add more cloud render, that'll make is look classy!"

1. The loss of top-down view. Straightforward.

2. The possibility of never having a toolset. <----This mostly.

3. The new look of the darkspawn. With the darkspawn looking like undead, I'm expecting the undead to look like little green goblins AKA the old darkspawn.

In no particular order:

1) Text Size - Tylenol should be listed as game requirement
2) Reduced spell selection combined with longer cooldown timers -> DA2 mage = auto-attack monkey -_-

3) Voice acting for "family" members

4) Bad paraphrasing

5) Skeletor clones

The Warrior with shield and sword.
Every other weapon set for each of the class has a flurry of moves when auto attacking.
With shield and sword it's just stab, stab, stab, stab, stab, stab, stab, stab....
.

That's only if you activate Shield Defence.

Nothing. To dislike something he most I would have to dislike a change.

..Wait, I forgot about the smaller text. That's a little frustrating.

Do people not read? Why do I keep seeing things people dislike on here that have already been confirmed to be in the game?

-No Auto Attack - Actually in the Demo just can't toggle it on.
-No Friendly Fire - Only in Nightmare the demo was on Normal
-Hack N Slash - Game is more focust on it in the demo sure but you can still play tactical
-Party Member Armor - No it doesn't have the same extend of custimization as DAO but you can still change and upgrade them.

Also if your gonna actually complain about something you don't like in the game please don't try to make your list longer by using the exact same thing just worded differently. Example

-The Dialogue Wheel
-The short paraphrasing
-The Dialogue Wheel pictues

It's all the same thing just makes you come off stupid this is merely a heads up because I'm actually interested in what people don't like in the game.

Pretty much the only thing I don't like is friendly fire only at nightmare (and the possibility of no toolset).

The isometric camera. I can deal with the rest but this one hurts. Every single time I click that little fireball icon I get this tremendous urge to zoom out for a better view only to have the game slap me on my fingers.

I think that out of all changes so far presented, I dislike these the most in following order:

-Absurd magical abilities of every character in combat-like Rogue teleporting, Ninja-Mages, Magical Archery
-Lack of choice in background
-Terrible art design

What are your top three picks?

Wow, 1st post...exact match.

I like most of the other changes.

This plus the animation of two handed is too fast. Now you don't feel the weight of the weapon.

1. Story within story, Varric and exaggeration. I always be the storyteller myself ever since Neverwinter Night.

2. Hawke is just a shadow past. Not knowing his present. For the first time, I feel like playing a ghost character and lost in the middle of nowhere. Never has this issue before.

3. Paraphrase, uncertain with dialogue end result, limited dialogue choices to develop character personality. Hence, issue whether to play Hawke as "me" or force myself to become some unknown person like paragon/renegade Shepard which never turn well for me.

I'm finding this odd too and don't like it because it's interfering with my exp gathering. The dialogue wheel can be disappointing in lack of variety, but when the character is voiced, I know they probably do this to not add like, 2 extra GB's of data onto the game.

Other than that, the only prospect of change I dislike the most is horrifying factor for me that DA3 and 4 or whatever will also centre around Hawke because that makes me feel like Origins was just a cheap beta for Hawke's story. But aside from that, I've loved everything about the game so far.

Theirs no toolset? whaaaaaattt.

Guess ill be holding on for skyrim.

That said, my least liked feature had to be just how "flashy" the combat has became. It needed improving from the first game sure, it was pretty boring, but what we have now just went a little too far imo. Also not a fan of those 12 ft 2h swords.

1 - Camera. Only bothered me a couple of times so far, but that's more than it should, and more than it did in Origins.

2 - The gore. I have no problems with gore, as long as it isn't silly. Origins occasionally crossed the silly line, but DA2 has just crazy. I know that's probably something most people won't agree with me on, but it's just not something I care for.

3 - Possible lack of toolset. I know, I know, toolsets are a nice bonus at best for a Bio game, but the community can come out with some great things that would otherwise remain flawed in the main game. (ie, look at Awakening and it's bugs, a toolset update would most likely have lead to a decent fan patch, since Bioware apparently forgot about that game..)

4 - I'll have to wait till I get the game before I can say anything else, all this is going from the demo so far.

I forgot to mention this, but this is just the demo, so I don't think subtitles were at the top of their list. And it's nothing a mod or a patch won't fix.

Judging from the demo and the previews-videos,here are my thoughts:

1-Absence of skills that effect conversations
2-Absence of tactical camera (eagle-eye view)
3-I would like to see more dialogue options (though cant judge that till game releases)
4-Not being able to equip our NPCs the way we want, concerning their weapons & armor
5-Friendly fire should be implimented on hard mode as well.

Also, i was hopping that DA2 would be more "dark" in art style & story decisions than DAO. However, the latter is yet to be seen.

Gonna have to go with the fact that the PC version feels very console-like.

Also targeting was a bother and I hope this is something they changed in the final cut.

No Aerial Camera.

Visual damage is a bit ridiculous, in Origins when I cut off someones head with a 2-handed sword I could picture that actually happening in real life. In DA2, a short 1 handed blade that slices a darkspawn throat should not cause his head to explode along with the rest of his body. Hell in Origins, fireball set people on fire and pushed them back with some added damage, in DA2 is just makes all the enemies explode with blood and guts going everywhere, I have a hard time picturing fireball doing that kind of damage.

Pretty much the only two things I've not liked have been the re-design of the darkspawn and the elves. And when I say that I haven't liked them I don't mean I hate it, more like I'm not sure about it yet, at least not until I play the final game.

So a ball of fire can crash down on people and set them on fire and they can survive that's just fine but when a huge close range explosion blows people to bits THAT'S unrealistic? lol

Magical archery? I havent seen any sort of difference with the archery apart form its way more effective now but  they still point and shoot no difference there. The mages now are more fun to play because yeah standing there and just pointing gets boring while your waiting for your cool downs, now it looks like your mage is actually doing something and it doesnt look like every other game with magic in it.

Anywhozle, the female walk. It just looks weird to me :P i think if they mixed DAO and DA2 female walk together it would be perfect then. At first i didnt notice any difference to the male walk..but i think it has changed a bit..but not a whole lot. But the male has a good walk.
