Shorter game length. I mean, come on BioWare, if you want to tell the epic story of the Champion's rise to power, at least make it feel like it is.
Rising to power in an afternoon, if only life was that.

Perhaps going as far as SWTOR is going, and make a seperate storyline for each Origin... -that- would be awesome. Always annoyed me that as a Prince of Orzammar, I couldn't get myself named king. Get some payback at Bhelen.
Would probably take a while to make, through... and forcing the Origin story in there for each game might start to feel.. forced. Hopefully, DA2 is more of a detour, in this regard.. I don't mind changing things up abit.

2. Manga-combat animation... while I like the mage, the others are just soooo "cool" they suck.
3. Body proportions like Isabela. Yeah, baywatch was something I missed.

- The cartoonish/anime feeling of combat.
- Simplifying the inventory, slightly less exploration.

- Chargen seems to be dumbed down (though demo can be misleading)
- Origins, and being elf
- Dual-wielding warriors
- there just seems to be less freedom in making your protagonist, for me it means less playthroughs. Demo can be missleading in this too, so we'll see.
- Toolkit

1 - The new comic book style - ridiculous speed and flair in animations + magical rogue and warrior talents
2 - Forcing all classes into narrow roles and lack of build options
3 - Over simplification of the rules - removing skills, armor penetration rules etc.
4 - Boring mages who are about spamming magic and going all out in every single encounter.

2. The death scene where they thrust the blade into the character's armour chestplate??MorrigansLove wrote...
The "At least father will have company now" line is worst thing in all of Dragon Age.
least removed his armour first.. That took me out of the moment.
3. The console / clunky style of icons and healthbars
4. The over-the-top combat animations as mentioned before. I loved DAO's more classic and realistic style overall.
5. Lack of exploration (atleast in demo).
6. Technical issues that apparently have been resolved for final release.
That's all for the demo.. Here's hoping the final release improves my impression and features some exploration sequences rather than just waves of hordes and cutscences..

Guess ill be holding on for skyrim.
That said, my least liked feature had to be just how "flashy" the combat has became. It needed improving from the first game sure, it was pretty boring, but what we have now just went a little too far imo. Also not a fan of those 12 ft 2h swords.
Again another person who didn't play Origins.
Heh, even with your garbage sarcasm, surely you must realise that while in origins, the physics were more realistic. You didnt swing them around like a twig like you do currently. The 2h weapons were also not AS big as they are in DA2, at least imo, I havnt played origins for over a year since I shelved it after completion. The blatant moneygrab subpar DLC didnt interest me.

The game having extra depth and characters having extra options to upgrade and customise is far more important

no thought-process at all to it. Hell you don't even have to read the
options just click on a smiley face symbol for a "good" response.
- Only humans playable? Dumb...
- flemeth looked younger and way hotter than in the first game. Pretty stupid if this story takes place AFTER dragon age 1.
- The game mostly takes place in a city from what I heard. I don't like
that at all. The game is already a linear rail tube, the only thing that
kept dragon age interesting were the very different locations.
Otherwise I would have been bored to tears.
- Shorter game length from what I hear, extended by content probably already in the game and all you actually pay for is an unlock code for these dlc's. Same thing happened in dead space 2, they said pc weren't gettign the dlc and someone made a game save that had ALL the DLC's unlocked on it for pc rofl. Developers are greedy bast*rds.

2.) Lady Hawke's bizarre running animation... I don't think I've ever seen a living person move like that. Is it because people complained FemShep wasn't feminine enough? Too far in the other direction guys! Too far!
!
The shuffling was bad in Origins and two handed weapons were too slow. But now combat just looks and feels like a ridiculous fast forwarded anime style mess. Went way too far when all they needed was a minor tweak.
Graphics might have lacked a distinct style - but not literally everything does have to have lots of pointy things attached to them.
Rogues might have played too close to warriors.. but not ALL of them have to be acrobatic ninjas.E.g. Varric doing backflips is going to be stupid. The jumps in general are too far detached from reality. Leaping is cool but looking like a cartoon character is not.
Warriors might have needed more AoE focused talents but having them do nothing but AoE even with basic attacks is too much.

I also don't have feeling that it is I who moves dialogue forward. Can't choose my lines and there is no diplomacy skill, so there is no way to understand have I persuaded someone of something or not.. sometimes question line ends of proposition, or proposition with question, what seems to be silly jokes becomes really grim one, ect, ect, ect...
