Looking through the archives I cannot believe you forumites haven't sussed her.It's so easy.

Remember I busted her story first so kneel before me.

Flemeth is an Old God.
She has dominion over mortals...but she is slowly dying.
Her  sustenance comes from the blood of her daughters concieved from her union with humans .However it's barely enough
She requires the soul of another Old God for survival but cannot attack one directly, she is weak and fears being consumed herself.

The only way to get close enough is to task a mortal with slaying one .To ensure she gathers the soul her daughters are impregnated on the eve of the slaying as a vessel.

So Flemeth is searching for the strongst mortals to unwittingly do her bidding...Morrigan is sent with the warden,Flemeth resues Hawke (another pawn like the warden) and the other sisters are elsewhere in the kingdom doing the same.

Meanwhile the Old God of the underworld has sent out it's minnions, the darkspawn. To kill all the mortals and thus deprive Flemeth and ultimately take her soul.

So it's the last of the old gods fighting for supremacy....all rather simple so i'm surprised Gaider managed to keep you all guessing.

I just have one question:

Why does everyone disregard the fact that Flemeth WAS human at one point??? She makes asides to her little fiasco with Connobar all the time...

I suppose it's just because, should she have been a human, she couldn't be an Old God...

She was fond of this mortal..maybe he was well endowed (hung like a dragon)

If she was Human at one point then she would have no need for the soul of an Old God.She certainly wouldn't empower her offsring with being the vessel now would she?

Personally I think she's an ancient Tevinter Mage who uses blood magic to sustain herself, I highly doubt she's an old one since the remaining 2 are both males. What mystifies me is what her agenda is, of that I have no clue.



Whatever it is, it involves both the Warden and Hawke .. both are champions in their own right. I'd like to know A ) How did Flemeth know about their abilities, can she divine the future ? and B ) What their role is in the future of the franchise.

She's Andraste.

She's a vessel for an Old God, much like your child with Morrigan. She's still herself, but she channels something greater than herself. See the beginning of DA2 when she's talking about how she isn't sure if it's chance or fate. She's merely the force of some higher power than a mortal.

Yes, she can.  She flat out tells one of the red shirt Warden candidates (Ser Jory, I think) that he's not got very long to live - though it's not necessarily apparent unless you know he's going to die.  iirc, her exact wording is more along the lines of the fact that he's irrelevant to the greater scheme of things (which he is, since he dies later that night).

Everything about her now exudes power. The way she walks, how she looks and that armor she is wearing is to die for.

I suspect she is Thedas's Elminster type of character. Meddling in everyone's affairs. Perhaps protecting the world from the old gods.
