We didnt get all this information from the developers of a game.
We didnt get a look at what the game looks like through different stages.
We didnt get any free stuff just for buying a game.
We didnt get the options to get in on betas ot demos to help the developers with their games.
We didnt go on the internet to complain and troll and start flame wars cause one is bored.

We did go out an buy the game.
We did bring said game home open it and have a blast playing it.
We did just enjoy the fact that we had a new game to play.
We did love just knowing that the ending left room for a sequel.

So cant we all now quit the QQing about things and just remeber there was a time when none of this matter expcet the game.

The way it should be now.

Yeah it does. I just hate seeing all the this is wrong or that is worng threads. As there was a time when we as gamers didnt know anything til the game came out.
I kind of wish it would go back to being like that. Maybe i am just a old timer LOL

If we never complained about anything then the developers would have no idea what might need fixing. Just have to sift through the masses to find constructive criticism and see if it's applicable

Ah the times before we even really had magazines to look at, when all we had was the back of the box.

Sometimes miss those days.

Miss the days later of my buddy going here you need to play this game and hands me the first Final Fantasy for the NES.

Such a different time.

It would be nice, yeah. It's unlikely though, now that the internet is around. Ah, the G.I.F.T of the internet....

Stop making me feel nostalgic, it causes me to have an actual emotion. Can't let that happen.

We didnt get all this PR propaganda  from the developers of a game and game "journalists".
We didnt get fake footage of what the game would be
We didnt get BS about content being cut for people who would later buy the game
We didnt get developers cutting the costs by using volunteers to check their bugs
We didnt go on the internet to read reviews all praising game that nobody had played yet

Remember when we didn't have video game dragon to fight? When we wanted to fight a fire-breathing dragon back then, we had to grab our sword and charge into the dragon's den with no more than a suit of shiny armour.

I still remember the smell of my friends being slowly cooked in the dragon's fire...

Ah the good ol' days.

Yes those are the times when it was fun to be a gamer. You had to go to the store look at the box read the back of it and decide if you want to put your hard earned money down on it.  We didnt have GS or EB to trade or return games to either when you bought the game it was yours, unless you  could sucker someone else into buying.

In gamer terms i am old LOL.

The good ole days when the only review were in Nintendo Power magazine, or Playstation magazine(bet not alot remeber that).

I remember the awe and anticipation I used to have whenever I got a new game, now I'm barely moved when a game is soon to come out. I mean DA2 is just around the corner, I should be bouncing off the walls with anticipation.

I hate being jaded.

Was that playing in your Walkman or boombox?  OMG the days before cd's. I remember when cd's and cd players first came out. The players were huge and cost like 1500-2000 bucks the cds themselves were like 50-75.

I am sorry i kind of miss blowing the cartridge then slamming it in the console then slamming it down and putting a book on top of it all while holding the power button in so i could play my game again.

:) The days when the protagonist was less than half a dozen pixels stuck together, and any game utilising more than three colours was taking it to the next level.
