Here's dragon. Bit slow I'm afraid. I'll do some editing on Archdemon now, since I didn't record any sound, and it's a really slow fight with the Ballista bit...

S!

You have my respects for figuring out how to WTF PWN the Dragon without health potions.

Brilliant and very inspiring job.

Apparently [citation needed] only 1 developer has beaten Nightmare so far. Take from that what you will.

Considering before DA's release developers claimed that NM is going to be "almost impossible" and then people have soloed it with every class when it came out, I question the skill of the developers.

I just say "nightmare" should be nightmare and not walk in the park.

You OP must be a god. I can't even do normal easily.

No. He's not. I'm sure he's very dedicated to the game, and quite skilled... But what he says isn't possible. Unless... they are all modding and not admiting it. Mods would make it possible but other than that no. A nightmare solo run without potions... not even a highly specced mage could do this.

It's easy to do this for some of the bosses due to the technical limitations on movement imposed in the game.
Combine that with the ridiculous number of traps, potions and poison bombs you can make.
I'm pretty sure this was an unintended use of game mechanics. It has nothing at all to do with skill.
Anyone that can point and click can, given the time to gather the materials, do this.

True. Well then that's not "really" playing the game then. I don't care what others say, to me that in no way is playing a game. I don't know how that could even be fun. But I guess spamming items could make it easier, boring and tedious.... different strokes for differnt folks.

Though there is a part of me that wishes Bioware would release an "No Way" Difficultly. It would be great. Make it so that stealth doesn't work, enemies are immune to all items and hostile effects, bosses deal out ten times damage and never miss, no healing in combat, no healing injuries ever, and half a more than half immunity to magic. That would be great.

Bull. Nightmare on DA:O is ridiculously hard.

Not really. You'd be surprised how easy it actually is if you level up correctly, use the right equips and if it's not a solo run like then set tatics yourself (the in game ones are horrible, don't even bother trying to use them) and level up and outfit party members correctly and you're good. With a foundation like that, u can push straight through any quest, straight on to Witch Hunt... just be careful in Golems, that one can still be a beyatch - esp the harvester on nightmare, lolz.

If you need leveling up, I know this is a good guide: http://www.gamefaqs....gins/faqs/59211

It hasn't been updated in a long time but it will give you an idea.

Ooh, someone necro'd the thread. Yay, I'd stopped replying as it died when I'd went to sleep the first time...

BeljoraDien seems to get the point best. I didn't make this thread to brag, the run was 6-8 months ago, and I didn't brag then. I wasn't even the first, this guy was my inspiration: http://tinyurl.com/5wlqn36 . Give him credit if you're giving any. (On a side note, since I now feel the need to defend myself a bit, the only time I used traps was Marjolaine, and only because I did it really early, before even DLC.)

And zerker/reaver warrior can't stealth. It can, however, use Frightening Appearance and Devour a ridiculous amount. My tactic for Cauthrien was literaly just to lure her out with a bow, kite her around the bed in the back room, and use Frightening Apperance on CD to get a single hit on her. Combat Stealth, however, isn't cheating in my eyes. Stealthy Item Use is a bit silly though (although the limitations on bombs stops it being too OP). Rogue was much easier than Warrior.

If you still don't believe me btw, start an Arcane Warrior solo run and see how easy it is for yourself. (Hint: You'll need to get used to hiding from archers, and the Ogre in the tower of ishal is nearly impossible without vast amounts of bombs, which requires Poison Making, and the ability to resist buying the backpack). Once you're past Lothering, it gets stupidly easy, to the extent that I'd kill some normal-boss level enemies without even being hit...
