3 is supposed to be out around "holiday" 2011 right? I don't think we'll see this DLC for about 2 months (keep in mind this wasn't even "announced" yet), so if it comes out in April or May ME3 won't be too far away.
Curious to see how they handle this though. I mean, arrival can only mean one thing right?

It has been said many times that there will be ONLY 3 weeks worth of CDN postings in 2011: a week leading up to a DLC release and 2 weeks leading up to the release of Mass Effect 3. It is safe to say that the "Arrival" DLC pack that is currently incoming will be the last DLC as they will probably need the teams working on DLC to help out with finishing up with ME3 later on in the year, and will probably need their services in creating creating DLC for ME3 post launch.
And if "Arrival" is not preceded by a week of CDN?

I sure hope not. Personally I want a ultimate edition before ME3 so I can buy it for my new rig (I own it on 360 now.)
I find that playing ME2 from the hard drive on the 360 a bit smoother than from disk. Same with dlc. The 360, imo, is not far from its limits playing either ME or DA. It certainly seemed to be at its maximum capacity dealing with the LOtSB dlc and the DA2 demo. Thought id just put it out there.
Edit - re-reading your post i see that you mean for pc LOL.

So Arrival could likely be the last, but most likely has more than just one mission in it. In fact, weren't many of the the trophies in ME2 from completing specific missions? So if we take that logic, I'd wager there's at least 3 missions packed into this; and I mean separate missions, not conjoined missions like LotSB, Firewalker, or Overlord.

From what I've been able to tell, this is likely to be the last. But there was an interview on some game website (I can't honestly remember which one, but I got it in my Google Alerts for ME3) had two of the ME workers talking about the next DLC. They said they'd originally planned for several small mission DLCs to make up the story between ME2 and 3, but the projects had snowballed into one massive DLC; sort of like a mini-ME game, just with a quicker storyline. From what I understood, anyways.

tbh im glad this will be the last dlc because i want them to make mass effect 3 top notch and the final curtain for shepard. i mean look at swtor it got pushed back because if you think about it biowares trying to balance 3 games for this year alone so why continue expanding a 1 year old game? i love me2 just as anybody else but even the best game creators need to focus on future titles
