The voice-acting in the demo isn't awesome at all really, to be honest.ME too!
- Agree
I don't understand all the "Doh! I had to read and it sucked really bad" reactions to DAO.YEp, agree again!
- Agree
The fact that I didn't hear someone speaking for me only helped me get into the game. I liked that I could make the Warden a facsimile of myself. It was awesome for me.how i hate the wheel is not possible to explain
- Nods head vigorously
:(
:(
The main thing that killed the demo for me in terms of immersion was that I didn't get the impression that I was gonna like any of the characters that were shown.I liked Wynne, with all her preachyness. Alistair was ok, too, Leliana definitely. And Sten was adorable from moment 1.
- Which DA:O characters were likeable on first meeting?
-Don't like the chick that Varric is narrating to.
agree-Was sooooo glad when whiny templar guy was killed.
- Which elements of the Chantry were likeable in DA:O? Pretty sure she's not supposed to be seen as your buddy at this stage, if ever. Quite likely she's a non-misogynistic version of an Inquistor. I'd steer clear, myself.
-Didn't like the butch man-wife warrior.
- The emotion his whining and spinelessness was likely intended to evoke, though he took his fate selflessly and with grace
-Carver should have died instead.
- Sten wasn't likeable early on, either. Or ever, for that matter. I suspect Aveline has positive quirks more numerous than cookie-love, though
- I disagree, i loved sten from the beginning
-The sister had potential but she got killed.
- Only if you played as a mage
-Hawke said "My sister just died but at least dad will have someone to chill with." Really?
- He did, unless you played as a mage
Edit:--Forgot to mention pirate-lady:
- I didn't choose that option. Avoid it next time around.
-My Hawke will definitely not be sleeping with the ****ty pirate. He might get a disease...Yeah, the characters are the biggest turnoff.
- Response 1) Unlike in Fable, you'll never know about it
- Response 2) And how was your relationship with Zevran?
- Dragon Age has been pretty good about giving us characters whose first impression isn't the best one to go by. May want to withold judgment there.

Socks feel like foot warmers to me, not clothing to keep my feet warm
Banging my head to the desk feels like ouchies to me, not pain
Food tastes like edible substances to me, not nurishment
Music sounds like musical tones to me, not sounds arranged as a beat
Snow feels like cold to me, not icey

I've accidently ninjamanced both Leliana and Morrigan when I was really just trying to be nice/funny/sarcastic.
Hello - but isnt what real life is also about? you say what you want to say, NOT knowing how people will react to it - so you "ninjamanced"

Varric is speaking to a women with short hair. Women should not have short hair and therefore I am not immersed.
youre being sarcastic, but funnily enough, this is part of it. The hairstyle that woman has makes me think of Emma Watson every time I see her, that's really not a great thought when playing a medieval rpg. Think of bann teagans hairdo - now thats "immersing".
remember, excellence is in the details, and thats where it seems bioware missed a trick in DA2. but then again, i am waiting for the full game and until then pray to the maker that it is better and ill love it cus i really want to.

Music is just tones though. Music doesn't need a beat.

A "beat" is the basic unit of time in music. Tone is completely different.

Beats are also used in comedy, at which Kail failed miserably

It's travelled far from its humble beginnings, only to be eaten by the grue of off-topic.
