Shattered Steel, after that the next BioWare experience was Baldur's Gate 2 demo.
Next experience took a while, because the second purchase was Dragon Age: Origins Digital Deluxe Edition.
After that Mass Effect 2 Digital Deluxe Edition, Mass Effect & Mass Effect: Pinnacle Station.
When did you start playing Bioware games?

I started with NWN. It was so awesome that I bought the BG ones after finishing it! Ah, the memories...
I've tried every Bioware game since then.

I started following the Baldur's Gate developement in late '97-'98 and was hooked from there to most of the games. BG 2 was great afterwards and set my expectations high for Bioware since sequels, like movies, are often butchered by companies. Next I played NWN, KotOR, Mass Effect 1, DA:O and Mass Effect 2. I skipped over Jade Empires because the play style didn't interest me, and neither did the pre-fabbed characters after enjoying more customization options in other Bioware games.
Bioware has proven to be an interesting company to watch, but ever since BG 2 they have had an issue with making sequels to their games. They never should of outsourced NWN or KotOR to another company (I'm not disrespecting Obsidian, they are a fairly good company too). But with Bioware making DA 2, I was first very happy then slowly more and more disappointed once the details leaked out over the months. They should of stayed with their mentality when making the sequel to BG, using the formula that was successful while enhancing it, not completely trying to remake it. They totally have lost me on DA 2.

My first was NWN back in 2002. I didn't know what Bioware or DnD was back then, the game introduced me to the genre. Since then I became a DnD fan. I actually played all of Bioware RPG's since then, even played BG and BG 2 in 2007! BG2 and ToB became one of my favorite games ever, I return to playing it every year
I wonder if Bioware will make a D&D RPG again sometime..

I'm really new to bioware games, I found them googling for "games with female hero", or something like that. Needless to say, I was overwhelmed by all the rpgs they have to offer. That was about 1,5 years ago.

I can't remember if mine was KOTOR, ME1 or BG...
It seems such a long ago I hopped onto the Bioware wagon for the awesomeness that is RPG's XD.
I need to find my KOTOR and BG again somewhere... I have a feeling I lost the latter ones T_T

baldur's gate was the first one i encountered, but i was a bit to young to totally understand what was going on at the time and really couldn't get anywhere. Kotor was the first game that really drew me into the experience and since then every bioware game was amazing in my opinion.

Baldur's Gate. It was the first game that sucked me in so far that I played through an entire night an into the morning before I realized what time it was when my wife (girlfriend back then) woke up and started making fun of me.
Been around these forums for three forum systems... back before the "bioboards" the forums didn't require much of anything for registration. Went by Cuthlan-Rhea back then.

First Bioware game: Mass Effect
Year: July 2010
Why you started playing it: Mass Effect 2 commercials haunted my favorite shows for months and I had just bought a 360.

Baldur's Gate 1 (1998) - I still remember it getting 10/10 in our game magazine and another 10/10 as opposite side of coin

... KOTOR for me.
True, but I'm feeling rather magnanimous tonight. Of course, I can promise no such generosity on the part of the other mods, but folks seem to be behaving so I'm willing to be a little lax this time.
yah and there is A LOT of threads that are off-topic that are "civil" and they're still locked.
I love pick-and-choose mods. Sorry but if it's off-topic it's off-topic..
bet if the thread was about which BioWare game was your least favorite..or some other form of "civil" thread but not in a praising light it'd be locked down faster than you can hit refresh.
great mods we have..selective enforcement.

First bioware game i played: Baldur's Gate
Year: 1998
I didn't finish it though when I played it the first time. The first Bioware game that I actually played all the way through was Neverwinter Nights in 2002, and the Knights of the Old Republic in 2003. Since then I've pretty much played them all (BG, BG2, NWN and all expansions, KotOR, ME, DA:O, ME2) multiple times (except for Jade Empire, which I'm playing for the first time now as I'm waiting for DA2).
