My first game was Baldur's Gate. It was also my first PC game period. I'd never had a computer of my own, and sneaking into my dad's office to play Myst or whatever else he'd purchased for himself was just not as much fun. But in '99, I got his old computer (ostensibly for school) and picked up a little game called Baldur's Gate. I was a huge D&D nerd, we'd just moved states, away from my pen and paper group, and the rest is history. BioWare fangirl since '99.

Baldur's Gate 1999
My little brother suggested me to buy it back then. He thought as a big fan of Ultima 7 I would like it.
Needless to say he was right.

I am a HUGE Star Wars fan so I heard of a Star Wars RPG I immediately bought it. I never looked back after that. In fact I think I might install Balder's Gate later

Baldur's Gate II was my first Bioware game, although I only "discovered" it in 2004. Have played it (and BGI, and ToB) many many times since, and still sometimes do.

I played Baldur's Gate in 1999 (I think, it might have been 1998). I was a kid and it was the first PC game I'd ever played.

Well, I did borrow MDK2 from a friend... but I imagine people don't consider it as a BioWare game. ;p
Baldur's Gate 2 was the first I played and loved after being shown Dungeons and Dragons tabletop.

Baldur's Gate in 1999. I was still a kid and it took me a while to get used to it, but once I did... ooh boy.

Baldur's Gate. I guess it was 99 or 98 i forget exactly when it came out i was like 14 or 15 at the time. My Dad was and still is into his RPG's and used to play a lot of D&D style stuff on PC he was really into this game. I'd been watching him play a bit and he eventually had me try it out and got me started explaining how to set up a character and play the game...Yeahhh he didn't get the computer back for a while.

I've played IWD a lot. Since there's comparatively little dialogue, and the game is very linear, I'm a bit surprised that I liked it as much as I did. It might be the atmosphere of that game that's so great, and even though I normally don't really notice the music in games, the music in IWD made me replay it several times.TheSarex wrote...

Bioware actually got me into video games. When I was young Dad brought home KOtoR and I watched him play it. Two years later he got Jade Empire and we did the same thing. In 2007, he brought home Mass Effect, but had me play it. Ever since then I've been an avid gamer.

Game: Baldur's Gate
Year: 1998
Why: I was a D&D nerd back then
Forums: No idea. But it was back on the Black Isle forums.

Technically BG was my first but I don't count it since to this day I never managed to finish it. So the first BW game I finished was KOTOR. TO this day I still go back and replay ...well everything from the Leviathan forward.
After that I've never looked back playing and replaying Jade Empire and of course Mass Effect.
(I still hold out hope BW will revisit JE one day)

2003 Knights of The Old Republic
Whe I heard Star Wars and RPG I had to check it out. I didn't know who Bioware were.
I adored the game - have never enjoyed a game so much and became a Bioware fan that day

Baldur's Gate in '98 or '99. I'd never experienced combat like that and while the learning curve was tough at first, I totally fell in love with it and BioWare.
