Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance and Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance 2 (Released to PS2, Xbox and Gamecube only)

They were developed by Snowblind, not Bioware. But nonetheless, it was the Baldur's Gate name that guided me to Origins. Now here I am, waiting impatiently for DA2. Image IPB

Actually it started with Dragon Age: Origins. Then I moved on to Mass Effect, then Mass Effect 2. Now I'm looking forward to Dragon Age 2. Do I feel shameful for not playing the previous golden titles like Baldur's Gate and KOTOR? Sure, a little bit, but I still fell in love with BioWare and their fantastic writing through their most recent games. I'm glad I discovered these games, as they are among the best I've ever experienced. Actually, after nothing more than three games, BioWare has reached the top-three-list of developers in my eyes. These three being: Bungie, Blizzard and BioWare. The triple B's (BBB).

These three companies cover everything I could ever want from a game. If I want action, explosions and shooting with an interesting story attached, Bungie is my answer. If I want to engage myself in deep MMO's or strategy games, Blizzard will hear my call. And if I'm in the mood to experience an extremely well thought out story outfold, together with great character development, using my own customized protagonist, well then BioWare is my gold star.

Seems to me most people either started with Baldur's Gate or with KotOR. Interesting...

Baldur's Gate was my first Bioware game. I was on the Black Isle boards during the era of Gromnir, Lanfear(sp?) and Karzak... ha ha.

Baldur's Gate, with Tales of The Sword Coast expansion. Figured I'd give it a try because it was DnD and loved it.

Baldur's Gate was the very first BioWare game I played.

My dad got a free demo disc of it in a magazine and we bought the game immediately after.

I played it a lot and eventually inhereted it after my dad got tired of playing games.

Well the first Bioware game I played was the original BG, I was looking for something in the spirit of Ultima 7. And to be honest, BG didn't quite do it for me. I was never much of direct D&D fan so the D&D world/ruleset didn't draw me in. For whatever reason the first BG just didn't grab me. As a result I didn't even give BG2 a try.

It wasn't until a buddy of mine picked me up a copy of NWN that I became one of the Bioware faithful. For whatever reason NWN really grabbed me (even given its often maligned storyline). I went back and gave BG2 a shot an thouroughly enjoyed it. Played every Bioware game since with KOTOR, NWN, and DAO being my top three.

I played the original MDK on PC first, which was ok, but I didn't care for it. I also tried MDK2 as well, but never got into it either.

The original Dreamcast version in particular was just totally unplayable for me, awful controls, worse than most N64 shooters in my opinion.

The PC and PS2 versions eventually cleared that up, but I still didn't really care for it after I tried it. Just never really caught on and I found it kind of boring.

Baldurs Gate was the first Bioware game I played and I am pretty sure I have played everyone of their RPG's since then, although I never completed Neverwinter Nights.

Baldurs Gate II and expansion are definitely my favourite's while KotOR is a close second. I'm actually thinking of playing through one of them again this week...

Dragon Age summer 2010. Lost my whole summer to that game. Apparently I worried my sister's boyfriend because I played it so much.
When I got my new computer at the beginning of last semester, I immediately put Jade Empire, KotOR and Mass Effect on it. After I finished ME1, I immediatly got ME2 and lost most of my last semester playing that.
And now I wait for DA2.

I think I started with DAO about 2 weeks after it came out. After a friend tipped me off about it. Lost about 2 months to it (but that's okay). Then the same friend told me about Mass Effect, as it was from BioWare as well I had to play it. Well there went another month or so. Ordered ME2 even before I finished ME1. You guessed.. lost another 2 weeks(Played ME2 A LOT).

Not much to do after that, picked up Kotor 1 and 2 afterwards (after yet another tip by the same guy)

Now anxiously awaiting the 11th of March...

Bioware got me with KOTOR and Jade Empire, honestly it was the later that got me to stay in the bio camp. Kotor was pretty good but KOTOR2 was ugg. So one day I wanted an RPG and I still had KOTOR and REALLY did not want a WRPG, I wanted one with an asian setting, and a friend said buy Jade Empire, got it, enjoyed playing it seen they were both made by bioware and I was like hmm maybe I should try more of the games.

Long story short I had my X-box for a few years still after the 360 came out, bought it looked for RPGS, seen Mass effect and Dragon age, and well still sticking with bioware.

My first bioware game, back in 2004, happens to be my first WRPG in my life: Neverwinter nights. It's one of my all time fav games.

My BW games so far:

Neverwinter nights -> Kotor -> Jade Empire -> Mass effect 1 -> Dragon Age Origins -> Mass Effect 2

My first BW game was KoTOR, bought it around 2004. Loved it but started actively searching for BW games only after ME came out.
