The key to resolving this fight is mirandas loyalty mission depending if your paragon/renegade.
If your paragon you want miranda to "talk to her sister" if you go with "If you say so" the paragon option is locked and it's looking for the renegade option.
If your renegade you want to say "if you say so" if you have her "talk to her sister" the renegade option is locked and it's looking towards the paragon.
However you need over 4 bars of either paragon or renegade before this fight takes place and it does not matter what order you do their loyalty missions the end response in mirandas is key.
I have done both paragon and renegade many times not sure if it is my dark side or what, but I like the renegade way of doing things and the way shepard takes no bull to get things done. I mean come on bashing a news reporter in the face is fun and I love the renegade responses. Accuse merchants of something to get discounts instead of every store in the citadel saying "I'm commander shepard and this is my favorite store on the citadel".

The only problem I have with their fight is that I've never reached a high enough paragon score to do it when I do a paragon run. Renegade is easier somehow. Either way, doesn't matter too much since killing Miranda during the suicide mission is only possible a couple of different ways.

You dont need 4 bars of paragon/renegade in order to settle their dispute. You do, however, need to play as 99% renegade, or 99% paragon in order to pass it. THeres a thread floating around somewhere that explanis how the system works. Ive settled their dispute with 2 bars paragon, did them both right after Horizon.

Is this for non-import people? When this comes up I get both Paragon/Renegade options available.

Yeah it is. The system adds the imported points to your acquired points in-game. Thus making it possible to have over whatever the percentage requirements are in both Paragon and Renegade for the Miranda/Jack and Tali/Legion fights.

Also for ng+ bc you lose that import bonus.

I always mod my 360 saves to give myself a ton of extra paragon and renegade points so I don't have to deal with this garbage (or resource mining).
I hate the way that ME2 forces you to commit to a single path then punishes you if you try to play the game on your own terms. Giving yourself a bunch of extra paragon and renegade points lets you play the game however you damned well please.

Non import or people playing NG+ off of an ME2 post suicide mission save game.
If you import off an ME2 save then you'll retain your level, your guns, and your armor; but you'll lose all your paragon and renegade points and you'll get no import bonus to paragon and renegade like when you import an ME1 save.

It actually does not take long at all to hit full paragon or renegade I'm not even half way done on a run through with a female engineer and her renegade is maxed to where it does not matter what I say now. However Jacob calls her "sir" when he asks to go to the hugo gurnsback and the lady at citadel c-sec customs keeps saying sir also lol. I did not pay attention to it till my girlfriend was watching me play it and said something lol.

The renegade/paragon bar in the pause menu doesn't have crap to do with anything. It's a system of percentage. This is so that you can resolve the Miranda/Jack or Tali/Legion fights anytime in the game simply by leaning towards Paragon or Renegade.

In my opinion renegade Shepard is the best I hate sparing people, letting people go who don't deserve it, or playing therpist too my crew, i play both but when I shoot the politition in the head on thanes loyalty mission or help zaeed get revenge it puts a grin of satifaction on my face I don't take **** from anyone and that's my preference.
