Yea, specially since the only gamers you will hear from are the ones who don't like it, the ones who do are too busy playing tha game :P

So because you're posting here discussing this, you don't like the demo?

Oh i love the demo, doesn't give a whole lot of playtime though, the full version will keep people far more busy :P

I've been avoiding all reviews so as to not spoil anything. Is the game really receiving bad/mediocre ones?

I tend to not really listen to professional reviewers anymore anyway. Not after the second greatest game of all time, Treyarch's Quantum of Solace, received something like 60 percent on Metacritic.

The demo has me really excited. I love, love, love the revamped combat system. My biggest problem right now is that i want to use the default male Hawke, but detest the colour of his eyes.

Not sure why any logical person would lose interest in this case. Sure you can be worried a little bit.. but far from losing interest.

Good luck.. I hope DA2 pulls through. Cant wait to play it.

Nope. Still plan to rent it. Still plan to play it. Still hope to enjoy it enough that I buy it.

Overall scores ? No , those are pretty good.

Reading "review" speak, it's really bad.

If you focus solely on the negatives to the exclusion of everything else they said, then yes.

Review scores, ahahahahahaha. If you're worried by 'tepid' reviews, rent the game and form your own damn opinion.

I don't make final decisions based on other people's reviews. I'll buy DA2 and judge it on my own. I think that will be fair.

Well the demo definitely lower my interest in the game.

My greatest fears were about the changes in the combat and camera mechanics and the demo confirmed most of them, after the demo I am now sure its impossible to play DA2 the same way I enjoyed playing DAO.

So yes, while I haven't lost all interest in the game (I wouldn't be here otherwise) my interest in it is much lower than it used to be.

I'll still buy it because I'm a fan and loved the demo regardless. People are obviously fearing the unknown... Some changes can be refreshing you know. Don't give up until you've at least played the game and have the right to fully criticize it.

From looking at the Demo, you'll be able to keep the default Hawke but change the colour of his eyes, I'm pretty sure. And if the style of combat is your thing, I think you'll be very happy. On my PC, the combat was dripping with adrenalin.

got to say I enjoyed the demo, didn't care for the darkspawns new look but that's nothing, played as hack and slash first play through, and pause and play second time, I prefered the later, all I can say is I'm even more up for this game now, and can't wait.

Was pumped up before, but the demo seems a bit to linear and 'streamlined' to me. With reports of repeat dungeons and shorter playtime I think I'll skip pre ordering.

too bad the whole point of reveiw for most people is to figure out whether or not its worth its price tag.
Have you bought every single game that has ever come out?
because if you havent may I ask why?
If money is the reason then how do you decide?

Official reviews are almost always terrible in their accuracy. How can 1 review potray how most people feel about a game ? If you want an accurate measure, try metacritic and look at ALL the opinions.

Alpha Protocol was a great action RPG, story told via framed narrative, your decisions and how you treated people influenced the outcome of the game and how you got there, and it was also said by the gaming press to have an "unsatisfying" ending, and was scored rather low apparently because people were expecting a shooter like COD.

If DA2 pulls off the framed narrative as well as AP, with the factional conflict of FNV, it will be a great success in my book. I think this is a realistic goal and expectation for Bioware's writers.

I'd second that. I don't think AP got the recognition it deserved. The gameplay may not have been very polished (I thought it was fine though), but the story branching etc. was great.

I won't be pre-ordering, I'm going to wait to see what actual gamers think rather than reviewers. This will the first Bioware game I've not pre-ordered, the demo has put me right off and I won't risk my money up front just for a few free baubles from EA. I didn't like the Street Fighter combat, the removal of the tactical camera is mind boggling and I don't like the consolised dialouge wheel which only gives you a rough idea of what your character will say. I do hope I'm wrong, if I am I'll just grab it off Steam.
Note to fanboys: This is my opinion and I'm entitled to it, remember that before you begin to foam at the mouth while looking for some ever so witty picture or comment to reply with.

i seriously wonder why you think anonymous people on the internet are more reliable than critics with a name.

Because those people don't have to pay for server bandwidth from the income they receive from big game publishers advertising so they don't have any pressure of trying to not ****** off biggest advertisers on their shoulders.
They also don't have to cater to mainstream reader to generate more clicks.

edit: and personally i lost already not so big interest in DA2 demo. Maybe i'll consider it when it hits bargain bin or a second hand copy.
