It's a Towers of Hanoi puzzle. It's really simple if you keep in mind that you are not allowed to put a bigger ring over a smaller one.
This is also the kind of stuff they have you solve programatically if you ever go into software engineering (early on, because this is a rather easy one)
Did anyone actually go to the bother of figuring ou the AI core puzzle at Peak 15

The towers of hanoi is absolutely trivial. Beat it in about 5 minutes at first (didn't recognize it as Hanoi at first). Second playthrough took about a minute.

It is the standard Towers of Hanoi puzzle.jeweledleah wrote...
I'm still not entirely sure what the underlining principle of that puzzle is.

First time I came across it, it took me about a minute and a half, after that it usually took me 20-30 seconds. (I'm not exactly Einstein, I just remember daft little puzzles like this for some reason) I actually enjoyed it in ME:1, kinda missed it in ME:2, everything felt very dumbed down. :/

It took me about a minute, remembered it from Kotor.

First time I just couldn't figure out what to do so I used a guide. I'm too tight to use omni-gel. But then I figured out thats its the tower of hanoi and then it was simple.

I just tried it for the first time, pretty easy.

Its pretty easy. The first time I saw it I got scared cause it looked hard so I didn't do it. Then I remembered that there is a puzzle exactly like it in KOTOR on Korriban so I was able to figure it our out pretty easy after. I do the puzzle in every play through. Save omni-gel for emergencies.

A guide? For what? what puzzle exactly!? Did I miss something!?!? I'm getting paranoid now.

Never done it and why bother when the only thing you need is 100 omni gel.

It's the most trivial logical puzzle.

Yeah I did it in about 2 minutes completely by myself. It only took 20 seconds to work out what you have to do.
Same here.

I knew it was the tower of hanoi puzzle, I've done that a ton of times, and a few more times from playing KotOR, so knew exactly what to do, easy peasy, I did it first time and a few plays after because I didn't really have enough omni-gel to slap 100 on to save myself spending less than a min on an easy puzzle, but now that i've usually got 999 omnigel, I'm lazy, and since I know I'll get the omnigel back, I just slap it on.

I didn't have to look it up.
The Tower of Hanoi is an old puzzle, and I'm fairly sure I've seen it in another BioWare game. But even before that, it is a common plan in IT for a backup scheme, which is where I learned it.
When you see it in games, it's usually three spindles and maybe 5 blocks, but the Tower can be extended past 5 blocks and once you understand the pattern of movement, it doesn't get any harder. It just takes longer.

Did it two times, first time took me quite some time, second time was about a minute or so and both times completely by myself and just randomly clicking around.
Old and good RPG Rule: As long as you have infinity trys and it not explodes just hit all the buttons over and over again xD

Usually I just expend the omnigel, especially on 2nd playthroughs because I usually have a ton of it. Tried it and manage to get it solved pretty quickly. Hm. Might still expend the omnigel if I'm in a hurry, but at least I know I can do it.

It's not that difficult and I remembered it from KotOR, so it didn't take long to figure out (again). ^^

Yes, i did do the puzzle. I rarely do these kind of things out of games, so i am not very good at it, but it was enjoyable when i got the hand of it.

Exactly what I did. I didn't have enough Omnigel on my first playthrough, so I just fumbled around until I finally solved it without really understanding how or why.
Now I make sure to come well stocked with omnigel to that level. I think I've got like 1300 omnigel -.-

It was really easy. I spent about 2 minutes on it. The puzzle in KotOR was a lot harder(I was a lot younger when I played kotor though)!

It took me a few minutes to figure out what the object of the puzzle was, but once I figured it out it wasn't too difficult.

This puzzle is so simple, that programmers at school at taught how to solve this problem with an easy algorithm.
