The truth is Boiware is not aiming to sell their games to 30 year olds its for consoles. Most console users are ages 8 to 15 years old. Pc gamers tend to be a little older , usually. This game is marketed to kids PERIOD

That might have been the case 10 years ago. The first generation console gamers have grown up, I reckon it's time you fix your misconceptions. I used to play both, but I got really tired of constantly having to update my rig. Most gamers are on consoles, and yes a fair amount them are young. That however dosen't mean that "all console gamers are 12 y/o CoD players" or that "only the mature play PC".

I'm in my thirties, I used to split time between a PS2 and my PC. I used to occasionally update hardware on the PC, until I started realising how much money it was costing to keep my pc current. Whereas consoles are what they are, and games designed for them are based on a current hardware set. Occasionally there are accessories sold for a console, but for the most part the hardware is a constant. My PS3 is simply more economically manageable for me than constantly upgrading processors, motherboards, graphics cards, memory and the like every couple of years in order to stay 'current' for gaming. I upgraded the hard drive for my PS3, but that's not especially requisite, it's just convenient for me to store photos and music on my PS3. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only 'grown up' who has realised it's a little more affordable to game on a console than to game on a pc.

edit: although I fully acknowledge, the best graphics and sound are most likely found on a pc, if you can afford keeping it up to date. The superiority of gaming on a PC instead of a console, is superior hardware performance. But I don't think the implication that console gamers are somehow more casual or have less taste in games applies.

Indeed, apparently according to market research the average age of console owners/video game purchasers is like 30 years old

Not saying they have less taste. I own a PS3 for Demon Souls amazing game. Just saying the game and its marketing ploys have an agenda to teeny boppers. Thats ok i am a fan of DA:O ,loved it but DA2 almost feels immature . Enjoy the game.

And the 30 year old are the people buying the consoles for the kids . You cant even tell me that the majority of people that buy DA2 wont be in high school or younger . Compared to someone that would buy say Eschalon Book 1&2 for PC.

I can't wait until they release the demo of the witcher 2 and all the fanboys cry over how dumbed down it is, short or changed.

It WILL happen, mark my words, and I will laugh.
It's already happening

Did you see the qoute where the producer of TW2 said that "The Witcher combat was too complicated"

Yeah, clicking a mouse button is WAAAYYYY to complicated

seems like majority of gamers these days are stupid kids who just want to blow things up

Not just youngsters.. I'm in my 40's and still enjoy blowing things up on occasion. Thing is I also like tactics and thinking on occasion. There is room for both in an RPG (ok action rather than simply blowing things up) and I still think bioware will deliver both.

It's very hard to imagine a "next-gen" game as lets face it.. "next-gen" can be risky to develop and sell. There's a reason so many games coming out are identical to ones before it. Give credit where credit is due that Bioware are actually evolving their games rather than simply churning out identical games other than graphics.
