Not when you're playing pure renengade/don't think anyone has the right to bring people back from the dead.tonnactus wrote...

Ashley could have seen some Geth on pictures. Or someone else from her platoon could have, and identified them.jeweledleah wrote...

Ash was born about one year after start of first contact war.
and Miranda recognized collectors on sight, even though she goes on to say that most people think they are as much of a myth as reapers and that very few people had actualy seen them (which brings up some very interesting questions about Miranda)
mass effect games are great, but they are certainly not plot hole free. There are occasional "huh" moments that happen with every character, so you really ought to look at an overall picture.

Snarky racist comment. From what I hear, it was suppsed to trigger only around Keepers.tonnactus wrote...
Right. So she can make an educated guess what a uncommon race is(for humans anyway) but couldnt tell keepers, turians
or salarians from animals? Someone who used a holographic display for sure isnt a animal. That should be common sense even without knowing about them.
Even when i roleplay a renegade(who i think is rather alive then dead if only to help humanity) that would douchebagery behavior. No offense. At least she is a valuable ally/information source for a renegade shepardt.AdmiralCheez wrote...

Miranda also could have been familiar with the Collectors by reputation, especially since TIM knew about their involvement beforehand.
And thermal clips are a retcon.

Or he could believe that taking down the Broker is more important than being all buddy-buddy with the crazy blue chick that obsesses over you to the point that she tracks down your body and sells it to terrorists.Chewin3 wrote...
A renegade Shep should be glad he's back alive. Now he can go around bragging that he's an immortal douche

Or he could just not like Liara.
Or he could believe that showing emotion is weakness.
Or he could believe that coming back from the dead is fundamentally wrong.
Lots of reasons, really. Besides, "I'm doing this for the mission, not you" is a common renegade response. Pure ReneShep would even say it to his mother.

Yeah, that's one thing that just bugged the hell out of me in LotSB: I never had any interest in making Liara my LI in either ME1 or ME2, yet the dialogue and Shepard's acting in that final cabin sequence was just way to overdone and seemed to suggest that there was some special connection with Liara that he/she just doesn't have with the other squadmates (Shepard's dejected look after Liara leaves and his/her final words while sitting on the bed nearly made me choke...).AdmiralCheez wrote...
But seriously, during LotSB, there wasn't a single douchey line to be said to Liara. The cabin reunion scene was especially vomitrocious. All I really wanted was one line to say, "I'm here to take down the Broker, not for you." That would have been fine. But no.

At the start of ME2, I really rather liked the character of Jacob: he seemed like a decent soldier who identified with Shepard, plus he was also screwed over by Alliance politics and had joined up with Cerberus purely out of a need to save others while still disapproving with some of their more extreme beliefs and practices. However, as the game went on, I just got more and more bored by his personality, which wasn't helped by the fact that he appeared to be the "Cerberus cheerleader" for nearly every new squadmate (I think Miranda only ever showed her snobbish self in front of a new member was when Jack came on board) and some of his comments to others on his first introduction were just asinine (telling Tali "be sure to say hello to the ship's new AI"... really? Saying that to a quarian?).
