Hello Bioware,

I'm posting this just as information, rather than in the hopes it will be fixed.

I was one of those people affected by an unusual overheating issue in DA:O. My post about it can be found here.

Currently the Dragon Age 2 demo has the same performance issue for me. I am not entirely sure if it is precisely the same thing, as in DA:O the issue was the CPU being cranked to ridiculously high levels constantly, whilst in DA2 the CPU overworking seems to occur in spikes. Interestingly enough in situations that are not visually intensive, like during conversations, which is why I continue to suspect it is a bug rather than simple cooling failure.



As I don't think the issue was ever actually resolved for DA:O, and since something similiar is happening in DA2, I won't be buying the game. I am quite disappointed, but after all this time, am somewhat resigned to my inability to play, and therefore buy, any bioware game with my current rig.
