So I had purchased the Digital Deluxe (download version of the Collector's Edition I guess!) version of DA:O back when the game was released. All the promo items worked with that install but never got around to getting the expansion or additional DLCs.
With DA2 coming out, I figured I would just purchase the Ultimate Edition and play through everything again.
Turns out because of conflicts (Awakenings wouldn't show up), I had to uninstall the original Digital Deluxe version and install the UE version.
My account's promo page lists the whole slew of items i'm eligible for. So I load up the UE version and I find i'm unable to get any of the promo items from the Collector's Edition or from the release day promo stuff to show up.
I can get the normal UE DLC to show up properly. But I can't get:
The Edge, Embri's Many Pockets, Blood Dragon Armor, Grimoire of the Frozen Wastes, Final Reason, Bergen's Honor, or The Lucky Stone to show up in my game.
Any ideas?
Getting Collector's Edition Promo Items into DA:O Ultimate?

Yes, in fact... and I am glad you posted (very good explaination, BTW)... this is something I was wondering too. So you can experiement for us.
It is possible to manually install the Deluxe Ed. bonus items... but of course, they need to be authorized, meaning you have to be an actual owner of the Deluxe Edition. In theory, since, if I read aright, your Deluxe Edition and Ultimate Edition are registered to the same EA/Bioware account, I am hopeful this will work:
Go to the Dragon Age Wiki's DLC page at: http://dragonage.wik...ntent_(Origins)
If you go towards the bottom, you'll see links for all the promo DLC files. Download them and use the method described (DAupdater.exe) to install them. Then launch DAO:UE and see if they show up in your installed content. It may take a moment for them to authorize, but I'm hopeful it will work. If not, you can "uncheck" them and you shouldn't get a warning when you load a saved game.
Let us know if it works! BTW... there's a few free items you can get, too. Lion's paw, etc.

I cannot actually verify if that method actually works, unfortunately. Mostly because I was in the process of uninstalling the UE version to try another reinstall when I had posted.
I uninstalled the UE version, redownloaded and reinstalled the Digital Deluxe, launched the game to check the "download previously purchased DLC content" and found it did nothing and had no DLCs available to me (Ugh), uninstalled the Digital Deluxe, then reinstalled the UE version (again) and for some reason found that this time my Digital Deluxe DLC was suddenly available to download.
