There is no question that the use of the Heart of Courage music track by Two Steps from Hell in the Mass Effect 2 launch trailer has been one of the top reasons for the trailer's popularity and general all-around awesomeness.
And that got me thinking about which music track would be used for the Mass Effect 3 trailer. The requirements were quite simple:

1. It must not be more than 2-2.5 minutes long
2. It must have an "epic" feel to it, which means orchestral
3. It must have a slow beginning and build up to a dynamic crescendo

Ever since the Mass Effect 2 trailer was released I took it to listening to quite a lot of trailer music by various groups and composers. However, when I started thinking about the possible track for Mas Effect 3 launch trailer, one clear candidate emerged.

Oh, I could list more than a dozen different tracks which I personally think are epic and awesome and everything, but most of them would not work well as music for a trailer.

I personally love Position Music, and Man At Arms is one of my favourites, but it's too dynamic for too long a time and doesn't have clear 'high' and 'low' parts. In that regard,TSFH's Heart of Courage is very similar to False King - they both have a clearly defined slow beginning that builds up to a dramatic ending.

I like this thread, Recently I have been thinking about it since I heard Black Blade from TSFH on the X-Men: First class TV Spots which is great up until 1:40. But other than that would like a /bump here. It also has to be as good If not (if even possible) better than Heart and Courage.

Also note Clint Mansell is working on the music and his music has been feature in trailers. Kronos Quartet does great work and they both did Lux Aeterna. Bit played out though it was great before I heard it everywhere.
