What he's referring to, is the outdated definition of the word it self.

The word Reproduction means just that reproduction. Sex has various different meanings. It can mean the birth gender of someone. It can stand for deriving pleasure while having sexual intercourse with someone. Carfax's definition of sex is not true. Two people of the same gender can engage in sexual intercourse, they just can't create a child from it.
