Not to mention in recent years many retranslations of old hebrew and latin bibles into modern english show that the current "translation" of the bible that most churches use were wrongly translated and many of the things in it are untrue.
In particular the story about Sodom and Gahmorrah referring to homosexuality over debauchery and adultery which it originally referenced; and the accusations about Mary Magdalene being a prostitute when she was in actual fact a Disciple and Jesus' wife.

There are many things in the good book that are not intended to be taken literally; and one uses owns on heart and moral compass to decide which parts these are. ALL Church institutions now say this.

And as someone else said this is not the place for you to air such disgusting and morally repugnant opinions. There was no need to for you to say what you said in such terms; and I doubt that you have any gay or transexual friends because I doubt any gay would be friends with such a blatant and appalling homophobe like you.

I actually feel sorry for you that you are actually that wilfully blind to yourself.

Just because you think that not following the Bible is acceptable and picking and choosing is an okay thing, doesn't make it true.

Nor does the fact that false-Christians exist.

In any case, I can see this thread is just becoming blind to the entire purpose now.

I respect their states, even if I disagree with what they do, that doesn't mean that I preach to them, and I wasn't even preaching about the issue.

I was simply digusted with the topic creator initially, for objectifying these women and their homosexual relationships and while I did state I disagree with the thing in entirety... I wasn't insulting them.

Of course, now I realize the issue is even wider spread than the topic creator, but granted most people just watch porn for a large period of the day and act in my definition of a fool, so I should probably not be surprised.

DA2 is in the roleplaying game genre.  Lots of people don't play as their self-insert, but prefer to play someone different.

In RL, I'm not an all-powerful mage that can hurl fireballs from my fingertips (though I wish I was) and the fact that I'm going to RP one isn't mocking mages.

Ypu call yourself a Christian, and argue against 'picking and choosing' and 'false Christians' so a brief history lesson seems to be in order: 1st council of Nicea, year A.D 325, the leaders of Christianity 'pick and choose' which books should go into the Bible. Established historical fact. Go read the Dead Sea Scrolls if you want the full picture of what your religion is actually based on.

The story of Andraste resembles that of Jesus Christ, but beyond that, we can't say.  I really doubt the Chant of Light has quite so many impractical and archaic rules that do not apply in any way to modern Thedas society.

To put it in picture, as you don't seem to get it: if someone posted on this forum that a certain race was inferior or 'morally repugnant' they would get banned. There is no difference between racial discrimination and discrimination based on sexuality. Both are illegal, punishable offences.
