The dialogue and voice acting annoys the crap out of me, everyone is so nonchalant about everything..
Your character really didn't seem all that upset when your sibling died. It's like your mom is the only one that cared.

Voice actor> silent protagonist
Running at epic speed> awkward shuffling to enemy
Mashing A to attack> watching the character do it for you
That's what I think

Additional counters:
1) If you have a problem with it, turn on captions and mute.
2) Anyone who argues with this is purposefully trolling.
3) You can always turn on auto-attacks.

It's harder to role play though, also limits the amount responses available due to the costs of VA's

New or old you're given a set of responses and you get to pick one or forever stare blankly into space.
If the difference for someone is getting one or two more choices; I'd argue it's not a meaningful difference.
I never found it appealing to completely control the entire party.
If they want to wear a certain outfit then holy crap surprise me.
Giving orders in combat is one thing but I signed up to be a hero not a babysitter.

I've been reading that the number of responses is about the same as DA:O, just the format is different.
Still don't get the argument that it's harder to roleplay. If the beef is that the voice just isn't the voice you wanted then... well.. there is that. But if the beef is that you can't choose your exact words, I would argue that when it comes to communcation, a quick summary and an idea of the tone in which something is said actually tells you more about what you're choosing than the precise words without any body language or vocal inflection to frame them.
I have thought I was saying something entirely different from what the game thought I was saying in so many RPGs... it's a pet peeve. Right up there with getting to choose between several lines of dialogue that were clearly written to make their meaning abundantly clear, instead of being written to sound natural and ... like something anyone would actually say ever. I kind of see the dialogue wheel as freeing up the writers, they don't have to write every line so that the words carry all of the meaning, which seems unnatural when I think about it.

But you never get the problem of having what was said, be the complete opposite of what you were intending. Sure it's still limited without the wheel, but less so.

It's just off-putting when your tank is walking around in leather pants and a shirt.

If you want to roleplay as a Chantry loving templar do that.
If you want to roleplay as a snarky rogue with no pants just do it!
Hearing a voice doesn't affect role playing in my opinion. You're all being dramatic.

Fixed armor slot -enhanceable with runes yes, but the armor per se is fixed-, limited weaponry/barred magic school. That's what I reffered to.Felene wrote...

I was refering to aveline. And im not saying there won't be customization for companions, i was just saying it would be stupid if there wasn't.

Sure you don't know exactly what you'll say but you *should* have a better idea of how people will take what is about to be said.
I get the feeling the only character who would show up wearing something inappropriate would be Zevran.

This is exactly why the dialogue wheel is superior! Imagine how much more clearly people would understand each others posts if we had some graphic mechanism for illustrating the intended tone of our words!

I'm not going to list all the options, that;d take too long.
You can complain now, but you're going to buy the game anyway. Unless you're only on the forums to complain.

Three minimal options, there's greedy, flirty, agreeable, charming, commanding, aggresive/angry, sarcastic, friendly and I'm sure there'll be more
