listen, i have some crazy cheat problem when it comes to games.. i always have to be this lone warrior that can just absolutely destroy everyone if i wish but im still vulnerable when im not using my powers.. ive watched way too much dragonball and similar animated movies.

my current character is a rogue/assassin/mage combination that has all skills and spells of the mage. and the stealth and duel wield of the rogue.. cant remember what i took of the assassin atm....Anyway, i would love to see a mod where i can choose ALL spells/skills/talents of every class so i can make my game, my  way.

Ive of course downloaded the toolset but i honestly dont have near enough time to dive into it and figure it out like i would if i were single and still smoking pot..heh But seriously, someone must want to be able to pick and choose exactly what they want right?.. surely im not the only one!? Sure i could add everything manually via the cheat console... but sometimes they work.. sometimes they dont.. its time consuming.. and its not "neat".

Gotta have that revenant "pull" power.. thats sweet! Anyway, any help would be appreciated.. late!

I have created a script/mod that creates a "God" character. Basically it will give you all talents/skills/spells/classes, 25000 Gold, three weapons which are VERY unballanced. A custom ring/belt/helm which also unballance the game (things like +25000 atributes). Anyway, if this is what you want I can upload it. You will have to enable the developer console and run the script manually, but after that you should be done. I run the script manually so that I can control when and if I want to run it.

Please note: I have not tested this script and it does involve a change to the ABI_base.xls file. Basically I had to change all the spells to Traits so that the main character could have everything. I do not know if this affects the way NPCs act in combat (not that it should matter, the main PC is "God").

While I would be interested in having all the skills/spells/talents/specializations, I would want the ability to choose them at the selection screen. I think maybe a new class would be needed.

Any ideas on how to make a new class?

Making a new class shouldn't be too hard in theory. The ABI_Base has a lot of the information in it that would have to be modified. I have noticed a few limitations per se.

1) From what I can gather you can not really have a Mage/Rogue or Mage/Warrior character (please correct me if I am wrong). I believe the reason for this limitation is that Warrior/Rogues have Stamina where the Mage uses Mana. Granted I did find out that when you convert all of the spells into Talents they use stamina instead of mana in the main character (I have yet to see what it does to a true mage character).

2) The character generation screen would be difficult to modify and a few scripts would have to be re-written for the character generation process.

3) Plot storyline might get broken. For instance, there are a few areas which are Mage only. In theory of you create a new hybrid character the game engine might not recognize it and you will not be able to have your character enter these areas. Not that it could not be fixed, but would most likey take a lot of work.

Now, in regards to choosing the abilites, that is not so hard to do. The mod I created does give everything to the main character, but a simple change of the script would adjust it so that the three base classes are set (Mazge/Warrior/Rogue), but any traits/spells you want you would have to use a attribute point for. This would allow you to create your custom character. Granted I am not sure that you would be able to unlock certain specializations. For instance, if you are a "Default" warrior, I am not sure that you could unlock the Blood Mage skill tree.

I know I didn't specifically go into details on how to create a new class, if you want to try I can get you started, but it will require a lot of modifications both in the 2DA files as well as scripts....

Note: Changing all the spells to Talents does indeed break mage characters. Mages have neither spells nor talents available to them....looking for possible fixes...

Simplest thing to do is activate the console mode to manually give your character(s) whatever abilities you want them to have. All I did was unlock rogue abilities on my mage just so I wouldn't have to keep letting Leliana shove me out of the way to unlock a door or a chest.

Now she just stands there quietly, and cooks me biscuits in camp.

well so far on my character i started out as a mage.. then i used the command console to add other skills such as the rogue. So i have all the mage spells.. all the dual wield abilities.. and stealth from the rogue. The problem is that if i were to remove the talent icon from my hotbar then i would have to add the talent again using the console command.. not a big deal of course.. but it would be nice to see all the skills/talents/spells/etc. on the level up page.

as far as needing a mage or other character for certain plots in the story.. what if you were just to edit the mage for example to incoporate all the other class talents. so you would still be considered a mage.. but have access to all other talents.

i also have edited my specialization points.. so currently i have all the mage specializations on my character. I wonder how difficult it would be to change some of the other classes into specializations so i could then choose them.. that way they would also show up on the spell/talent list. but then i would still need those enabled for a mage character.. hmm.

Just realized while playing the game that I was given abilities.. The blood something or other.. Gave me the ability to use my blood to restore mana. It's in the downloadable content the wardens keep. It's probably in a script.. Maybe that's the solution to our dilema? Either way it add selectable spells to my list. Now, how do I look up this script? I hope it's that simple and doesn't require further editing... But what do i know?

I tried to add some abilities (spells), but for some reason I couldn't add spells to my warrior. When I look at the save game file the spells are added to my character, but they don't show on my talent list. What I have done is recreate the spells as talents in the 2DA file. This has allowed my warrior +/- rogue to have spells (they show up on the talent list), but doesn't break the spellcasters in the game as the original spells remain unaltered....I used the Runscript Addtalent to try to add the spells/Mage class, but it never worked for me....:(

they wont show on your tallent list, they will however take over the first hot key point on your charactors hot key (with each new script overrideing the old first slot skill) thus you can only have access to as many mage/ cross class tallents as you have on your hot bar, and to get them back to being visable you must then remove and readd them if they were taken off the hot bar. i just finished the game as a rogue with mage spells (v walking bomb and stinging swarm) i found the game dule for me as a rogue other wise i mean 2 weapon choices (dual or arch) and both are kinda sad to quickly.

I understand now. Seems tedious. Right now I have almost everything open to the warrior/rogue without breaking the spellcaster ingame. The only spell that I haven't gotten to work yet is the Shapeshifter spells. He does the animation, but doesn not change into the shape....

I found it easier to start as a Mage and then add the rogue or warrior talents. Just be sure to add the base class too. You need rogue to use stealth etc.

As far as using the console, it's annoying. I like things nice and neat. Click on my skills and talents and spells as I see fit. Hopefully someone will be able figure out how to do it.
