As the title says, why do asari wear human armor? Asari have been around much longer than humans (in terms of space travel), so why don't they wear their own armor? They must have had some in the centuries before they discovered humans.

actually...its the other way around. humans wear asari armor. at least female humans. I suppose armor manufactures just learned to adopt male versions to male bodies.

No... the Proteans took human DNA, flushed out a bunch of useless/defective code (like that stunted Y chromosome) and created the asari... as an extra incentive to motivate humans to develop the necessary interstellar travel capability to finally meet them... ("Oooo! Blue alien babes!" *panting*)

I suppose it is easier for an Alliance military ship tp get hold of human gear.

I suppose it's because they can.

Asari seem to have similar body types as humans, and thus can fit into human gear. Krogan, Turians, Quarians, etc. obviously couldn't wear the same gear.

Bioware didn't have the time/money/inclination to come up with a completely separate system for the asari. The only time it bothered me was when Liara wore a helmet. Part of her head would have to disappear to make it fit.

We don't know how flexible those asari lekku are. Could be they just bend down.
