My best guess is that the reapers are in league with the daleks. I eagerly await Commander Shepard arriving in the nick of time from the doors of a certain police box.

That was my first thought too.

Also, I vote for Capt. Jack Harkness as Love Interest^^

Bioware is angry at the horrible public transportation system in London, hence why it is destroyed.

Or they can't believe how much just paid for a can of Coke! ;)

The reapers received a warning about weekend 'improvement works' and the fact that there is still 'good' service on the half of the Circle Line.

I agree with you guys on a lot of what you're saying about the 9/11 issue and the fact that London was nearly destroyed completely during WWII...
My thinking on New York; though, is does Bioware really need someone from Fox News (Glenn Beck...I'm looking at you) grabbing hold of the Content, bringing it out of context (like they did with the Love Scenes) and making an issue of it?
I don't personally think it's inappropriate, but it's STILL a hot-button issue here in the U.S. where the rest of the World's problems don't matter. Until it began to hit us here, our Government couldn't have cared less about Terrorism that had been going on all over the World for a long time.
I guess I'm basically saying: Why poke the sleeping Lion?

I guess we are just (not immune, that seems like the wrong word) desensitised (though it basically means the same) to it all, since it was just a fact of life here for a long time, I was born in the sixties so the evening news when I was small was terrorist attacks here and the Vietnam war, some of those images don't budge EVER.
I have been to America on holiday a few times and I do love it and I love the Americans too, but watching the news over there, yeah... it does seem like there is nothing outside America unless it impacts America, but that does seem to be an issue just with the news, Americans are generally very interested in everything in my experience, naturally curious and not near so cynical as us.
I can see why you wouldn't want Fox being alerted to anything touchy, but I dunno, it seems like something that will surely have to be addressed sooner or later, iyswim? (not that I want BioWare to be ahead of that sh*tstorm :))

Looks like we're on the same Page here & we're about the same age...I also have memories of News Reports from Vietnam that I'll never forget (can't imagine what it was like to be there)
I see the difference in perspective between American news and the rest of the World's news reporting most clearly when I watch BBC America and the way they report News. It's based more on the Merits of the Story overall and less on how it affects just Britain, which is the opposite of what is done here in the U.S.

Of all the cities to feature in ME3, they do it in London.

I personally hated Britain when I went on vacation there because it is one of the most depressing places to live on the planet. Why not do it in a city that I'd WANT to save, like Toronto or Paris?

Honestly, if the option to let London be destroyed but save the planet exists, I WILL TAKE IT!

Cmon Bioware, you are a Canadian company, feature a Canadian city!

Maybe they did it just to ****** you off, i know i would. Or maybe because, ITS A FREAKING CHANGE!Image IPB

Actually............... I think we are onto something here. The Reapers just want a refund for cr*ppy service, that's why they landed in London first................ ;)

Yes, it is outrageous; if it were 3/4 of the price you could justify the horrible service but it is insane, in January, tube fare rose by 16%. It is the worst underground in the civilised world and simultaneously the most expensive.

@ William Adama- Whatever experience you had there, do not brush the entire British people with the same paintbrush. You wouldn't like it if they did the same to you, no?

Anyway, who says the game is in London? They proberly will release other cgi trailers in differen't countries just too show how much damage the Reapers are causing and the size of their fleet giving a sense of extinction.

They should release other trailers on other homeplanets being bombarded, give a sense of urgency and how there isnt much time left.

Famous cities being destroyed in a matter of hours, demoralising trailers.

Yeah, I guess we are :) And yeah, that is kind of how I saw the news over there. I remember one hotel had TV in the bathroom and watching in amazement at a religious channel reporting that Europe is like the Roman Empire and that it is a threat to everything Americans hold dear........... :o I was like, ''Wait.... I'm the enemy of freedom now? Sh*t, that sucks...'' ;) But as I say, I think it is the news channels not the people in the same way that British tabloids are the worst example of *news* reporting ever.... I can just imagine The Sun's reporting on the Asari ''Hot blue babe saves galaxy... and what a pair.....''

Well I am only a transient here, studying at Imperial College so I do get a student discount but it is insane; and don't forget the 2.5% increase in VAT. I don't understand how anyone one but rish people live here; I think the Reapers just couldn't afford it anymore.

The sun is a newspaper with boobs on page 3 in every issue, possibly with other features. Though to be fair it has a small box in which these ladies can express their horror at whatever natural disaster has occured while holding themselves in candid positions

Haha, you're joking right. Petrol is about £1.27 a litre atm (which Google tells me is about $2.0447) and set to rise again....... And you might want to avoid the London Orbital if you do go anywhere near London <_< (otherwise known as the M25 and the inspiriation for Chris Rea's Road To Hell track) :P

As far as I've ever seen (here in America) The Sun is more like The New York Post...you know...famously dis-tasteful content and Headlines like "Headless Body Found in Topless Bar"
