<-- Has never watched British news.
As far as I've ever seen (here in America) The Sun is more like The New York Post...you know...famously dis-tasteful content and Headlines like "Headless Body Found in Topless Bar"
Why London?

Average price for Gasoline here in the U.S. is now around $3.25 a gallon and going up! And I've torn this Thread completely off-Topic!
To be honest...after thinking on it a while...the only other Iconic American city-scape I can think of besides New York is San Francisco & I would hate to see that City bite it!
I did think it was really cool the first time I watched the Trailer that a non-North American city was used...so it had impact for me.

I agree. Instead of going, "Wow, America's attacked by aliens AGAIN", I went "Aw crud, what did they do to London!? They'll pay!"

I agree. We need to know that this is happening EVERYWHERE, not just on Earth.
Do you seriously think the Reapers, after being screwed over three times, are going to just hit Earth and call it a day? Somethings are implied. It obvious they're going to hit other planets, too. I don't know why people are always going, "WTF, ONLY EARTH?!"
Just because they only showed Earth in a 2 min trailer, doesn't mean that's the primary focus of ME3. And as far as we know, the Reapers like to take it slow. They don't spread out and start destroying as many planets as possible. They lock down the relays, isolating each system, and throughly wipe that system out before moving on.
To quote Vigil: "World by world, system by system...";)
It seems logical to me that the Reaper attack will start with the Citadel. The Reaper will want control of the relays and they'll want get the Citadel relay functioning again.
Dont worry, ME3 won't only be about Earth. Saving Earth probably will be a major goal, but that's to be expected seeing as Shepard is human.

Well no.
According to Vigil the reapers don't spread thin but travel from world to world.
Would make sens to attack Earth first as they seem to regard us as the "real threat".

The reapers attack London because it's the capital of the UK. And they attack the UK to lay a trap for Doctor Who !
Shepard ca'nt save the world but the Doctor can ! That's why ! Reapers are just a new incarnations if the Daleks ! "EXTERMINATE !"
Ok ok, i' leave...
