I think that is probably the case :) Doubt it is Butler, it doesn't sound like him to me, he can cover his accent quite well though :)  (Butler is pretty sexy too......)

But wait! Gerard Butler's already been modelled in dragonage origins :innocent:

Crazy cult leader that thinks he can talk to a dragon

and yes Gerard Butler's sexy

Why not? It's iconic.

Besides that, I don't think your personal preferences for vacation hotspots (or any of ours, for that matter) have any bearing on what's chosen on a teaser trailer. We don't even know if Shepard actually goes there in-game and I'm guessing s/he doesn't.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Taj Mahal a mausoleum?

Why London?
That's a very good question and |I don't have an answer for you but there are alot of gamers out there who are happy that the ME3 teaser trailer is showing somewhere other than the USA. The sight of Aliens destroying famous US land marks like the White House, the Statue of Liberty or the Empire State Bulidingn are all very cliched and while I'm not exactly impressed with the idea of the Reapers attacking Earth it is niced to see familar sceneary that has not been used before in this type of story.

Moscow? All Russian people are bears on unicycles !!! But, seriously, it would have been great. I've personally been in Moscow and Saint Petersburg and I loved em. I also think that rendering Saint Basil's Cathedral PROPERLY would have been a much harder task than doing Big Ben :)

Regardless of the fact that the Reapers are attacking all major cities. They should send more to Los Angeles. Los Angeles has never been in a sci-fi movie and the fate of the world was never decided there.

Still, US cities are overused.

Well at least we're not going to save New York for like the 500th time. Bring on London I'll be happy to fight there. And besides, who says London is the only city we're going to fight in? It's not like the Reapers are only going to land in one spot they're probably all over the Earth.

Plus, hitting LA first and hardest (just as an example; can be applied to any non-capital) doesn't make sense from a strategical point of view. You aim at the head of the snake first.

The Reapers tuned into the earths tv broadcasts and saw a cricket match.

"We are the vanguards of earths destruction, Destroy the capital city of the country that invented this activity!"

You, sir, just made my day with this post. Seriously, show Russia some love. The only way our country is shown in videogames is that it's made out only of stupid nationalists.

I cannot be the only one that wants Shepard to fail. Good riddance to that pathetic blue speck.

Clearly, the real reason is they wanted to select a (globally recognizable) landmark that will look exactly the same now, as it did 200 years ago, as it will in 200 years time in an english speaking country (to avoid subtitles), in a city prerferably without any real skyscrapers or a view at present, so they could create one. It would be too complicated trying to predict what New York, Sydney, Toronto will look like in the future because they already have a ton of skyscrapers. London's a blank canvas around an age old monument of time and place.
