All this "My country is better than yours!" rubbish would be easily solved if the Reapers were attacking the arctic, or Liechtenstein (nobody ever attacks Liechtenstein), but noooo...

Maybe the reapers attacked london so Americans would say..."WTF, WHY DIDN'T YOU ATTACK US FIRST!!" thus ensuring that the Americans would be too angry to launch a successful counter attack.

Or prehaps the reapers understand that Americans stay out of wars untill attacked.... why not attack the rest of the world and wait for the fight to reach american soil before the americans condesend to get involved...

As german I can't understand that attitude. Perhaps because we knew that our country would be the one everybody uses to calibrate their nuclear missiles on if the cold war would have turned hot ...

Nobody seriously threatens to leave the EU, because it's economical suicide by now. Germany, France and Britain as the most important members won't leve the Union, thus binding a ****load of financial power in this organisation.:innocent:

I agree with you on France and Germany. But Britain cooks its own soup. Always has done. And as far as I know, they have the only influencial groups wanting to leave the EU.

But no country seriously considers leaving the EU. Only extreme rightwing nationalists and populistic movements demand that step, without telling their voters of the consequences. As has been said, this would be economical suicide for any member state.

Do you honestly think the Reapers are just attacking London? That their plan is to take out one country at a time? They're attacking EVERYWHERE!

IE: They're attacking the whole globe at the same time, America included. We're just seeing what's happening in Britain. Sorry to say, but America is getting attacked by aliens again.

The Belgians don't even have a government right now, so their people aren't getting properly represented.

So is Liechtenstein. I do agree though. It's probably only shown in London because big ben was cast as English, and London is the obvious English city to show him in. .. That's assuming he's relevent in anyway, and not just trailer fodder.

I'm really jealous OP that you got to see London.  I can't wait to see some parts of the rest of the world.

The ruling house was close to the Austro Hungarian empire in centuries past. One of their members was one of the last chamberlains to the emperor. It's one of the surviving small counties of Europe. Such as Luxembourg, Andorra or Monaco.

And as for looking pretty. It looks the same as the neighbouring Austrian or Swiss Provinces.

This thread started out bad.... We did manage to raise the bar for a while, but it seems to have degenerated into a bunch of 12 year olds shouting at each other over XBL, How about we grown ups report this and then all go down to the pub together

Why would you need an island for a base when you have giant spaceships?

I've been to most of Europe (Greece, Spain, Italy, Britain, France, Portugal, touched on Germany and Switzerland) and of all those countries, I felt the most depressed in Britain. It's COLD, rainy, dark and somber. The people there are apathetic, pessimistic jerks and the town is dry with regards to culture. Food is bad, and history is uninspiring. 

It feels as though all the bad things that humanity has within themselves culminates in that awful country. You have no idea how mean people in England are... and I don't blame them. The country is depressing.

If you go to Italy, Spain or Greece, you feel SUPER happy because of the climate, culture and people! You feel alive in the Mediterranean, you feel dead in Britain.

If anyone needed evidence that SAD exists, just go to Britain. (SAD = Seasonal affective disorder).

It just gave me a sinking feeling of self destruction and depression, and I visited the country when it was "hot" (in the summer months).

Ugh.
