[Funkcase]

The Reapers attacking London reminds me of the Battle of Britain, maybe thats what Bioware was going for? The Reapers flying over us, dropping bombs on ower citys, men, women and children dead in the streets, and even after coming so close to losing, we will find a way to win.

Well Im British too (obviously by my comments in this thread) i'm not English though, i'm half Welsh and half Northern Irish, lol.

Maybe BioWare could be convinced to have that Reaper land in Cardiff? 

Awsome! London is much bigger and better though, lol. Although I love Cardiff too.

I've not been to Cardiff, though I should have visited when I lived in Swindon, it would have been real easy to get there  Seven Sisters is lovely, you drive past Beachy Head and you are there in a few minutes (they filmed some of one of the Harry Potter films on Beachy Head, the one with the Quidditch tournement in) And Beachy Head is a five minute drive from Eastbourne town centre )

It's a city London chose. And a good one too. Why do you people (everyone in the forums) have to so angry at such ridiculous choices. I wonder if people did the same thing with Shepard's name. "Why is he named Shepard? Why not Carl?".

Not everyone, more people seem to like the idea, it's just a vocal minority.

I love that they picked London, personally. It's a great idea, to have the futuristic elements of ME placed in an old and weathered European city. Plus, think of all the cleavage shots from atop Big Ben.

In the trailer, the British guy said 'Reports are coming in from other major cities, it's a well coordinated attack'... It's not just London.... If you are asking why they showed London being attacked in the trailer,.. Why not?

Yeah, we tend to let folk get away with only so much, British soldiers are dying every day fighting other people's wars. Cos that is what you do for your allies, right? You don't treat them like cr*p and still expect them to put their life on the line for you. Much respect to you and your family for the sacrifices you have made for the rest of us

So they might have picked London, could have easily been Cardiff, Liverpool, Manchester, Birmingham or even Glasgow and Edinbourgh. Quite frankly i'm disgusted at the anti - english tone of some people in this thread.
Wonders if the OP would have even dared to try stirring up the Americans, i think not.

Those guys serving in afghanistan be it brits/americans or w/e they got my deepest respect for what they're trying to achieve.

I'm thrilled it was a British city, ever since we lost the Empire our children in the colonies dont phone, they dont write, they dont feature us in their alien invasion movies...

Well why not use London? It's pretty rare to see a city outside of the US featured heavily in gaming. Besides, it's just a trailer at this point. Bioware are trying to create some buzz for the game and there's more chance of that happening with London than say, NYC, which is so overused in games these days.

However, I am expecting that the Reapers aren't just targeting Great Britain.

Speaking of which...DAMN YOU, Mass Effect 3! XD That was the plot of my sci-fi story! Aliens attack Great Britain! Now I have to go find another plot. lol j/k.
