Why not? As a Yank, I'm relieved that it's another country being invaded for once. I will enoy running across the streets of ol' London saying "NO ONE SCREWS WITH THE MOTHER COUNTRY!! DIE REAPERS!!"
However, I am expecting that the Reapers aren't just targeting Great Britain.
Speaking of which...DAMN YOU, Mass Effect 3! XD That was the plot of my sci-fi story! Aliens attack Great Britain! Now I have to go find another plot. lol j/k.
At any rate. Britain? You have my gun and my eternal loyalty. Never shall the British submit!
We WILL fight them on the beaches (blah blah blah) And we WILL NEVER surrender!

Nice one, Liam!
''we shall defend our Island, whatever the cost may be, we shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender!''
I hope Anderson quotes this in ME3, seeing as he's British! lol.

Of all the cities to feature in ME3, they do it in London.
I personally hated Britain when I went on vacation there because it is one of the most depressing places to live on the planet. Why not do it in a city that I'd WANT to save, like Toronto or Paris?
Honestly, if the option to let London be destroyed but save the planet exists, I WILL TAKE IT!
Cmon Bioware, you are a Canadian company, feature a Canadian city!
I live in London and it a terrible place.

I imagine Garrus to be the Turian version of Churchill, giving speeches to everyone.

Garrus or Anderson saying the ''we shall never surrender!'' quote would be awsome, Garrus has one fantastic voice.
Anderson has the strongest voice out of the whole cast (imo) so I can see him doing it more, and the fact the guys fom London helps too, lol. Might sound wierd a Turian quote Churchill, wouldn't see why a alien would. But I can see Garrus doing some awsome speeches.

Just imagine...Garrus standing on the rubble of was once a British building of historical purpose. Finding the flag of the UK, he props it up and lets it flutter once again. He turns to the small platoon of grime-covered soldiers and says something like:
"I may be a Turian, but I know this means something to you. Let's make sure it's not wasted."
Wow, that is pretty damn awsome!

If Bioware doesn't do this, I'm writing a sci-fi story where Britain gets attacked JUST to have my badass alien guy do this.

l'm serious. All I need is a good excuse and explanation as to why a certain alien race attack Great Britain and somehow incapacitate every other nation in NATO so they're not rushing to Britain's aid.

Well this has been a very dumb experience. And I mean it. This thread became a blight. Racism... dammit, I thought people here would never fall that low as to hurt on other fellow forumites. And I guess the topic is also lost for good too.
It's not unexpected for me. I've been subjected to a ridiculous amount of anti-Russian sentiment by certain members of this forum.
