I've been trying to play the OC, but every time I try to leave West Harbor to go to the Weeping Willow Inn, I get the "Could not unpack module/could not load module" error. Nothing I have tried has worked. My game is fully patched. I've cleared out room on my C: drive where the My Documents folder is, I've moved that folder to a different drive, I've moved the TEMP and TMP folder to a larger drive, I've completed all quests with in West Harbor, I've re-installed and redownloaded the patches...nothing has worked.
Everything I try ends up not working.
I'm using Windows 7.
I was wondering if anyone had a different workaround I could try, or if anyone knows a console code that might warp me to the Weeping Willow Inn. I'd really like to play the OC. I've been able to play MoTB and SoZ without issue.

Anyone have any ideas? I really hope I didn't pay for a game I can't play.

Have you tried playing from scratch? Is there anything in your Overrides? It honestly doesn't sound like something that can be consoled, since if the error message is correct something's gone south on a more fundamental level. And I'm no good with that.
try
rs ga_load_mod("1200_Highcliff", "12_wp_gblade2_sp")
in DebugMode 1
btw, I did a google search for "nwn2 could not unpack module could not load module" and the results are not cheery. you can try the same, but I'm guessing it's saved game corruption, or might require a full re-install.
oh, one easy thing you could try is clearing out your Windows Temp directory (under Documents & Settings -> user -> Local Settings -> Temp (in winXP, fer me). There is a folder in there that NWN2 uses to store things on a temporary basis. A couple of reboots along the way don't hurt too.
ps. if you uninstall it might be wise to back up your Registry and figure out how to clean out all NWN2 references with CCleaner and/or other tips available on the web, before re-installing (just a thought ..)

I've tried everything except that console code, and nothing has worked. Even uninstalled, cleared out the temp folder, reinstalled, created a new character and started from scratch. I even went through thr tutorial portion. No dice.

holy Diana,
are you using Steam? DVD discs? D2d?
I'm curious if you get the error with the 'ga_load_mod' command ..
( i've got an eye on your other thread, so no worries there )
if you want to check it out in the Toolset:
module: 1200_Highcliff
area: 1202_willow_ext
(to myself, why do MotB & SoZ & other modules load, but not the Weeping Willow?)
ya might have to continue your adventuring career with 3rd party CC mods ........
& hope that somewhere along the line it just fixes itself.
nb. Here's something I have never tried before. Copy '1200_Highcliff.mod' from your installation directory to your MyDocs->NWN2->modules directory ... this opens a whole can o' worms, but when yer starving wurms can taste pretty darn good, right

I tried the console command, but I get this message:
Invalid command: rs

Ok, I typed RunScript instead of rs and it went to a loading screen, but I still got the "Could not unpack module/could not load module" error.
I bought the game from D2D

yah, i thought so
I don't know why I asked what source it came from, it shouldn't make any difference. Thought it would twig something .. but drawing a blank so far.
Just for giggles (sic), try loading yourself into a different area of the same Highcliff module:
RunScript ga_load_mod("1200_Highcliff", "wp_1202_to_1203")
that should take the PC to the interior of the Inn @ Weeping Willow. If you get there, make a cozy (unique-slot) Save, and maybe Khelgar can join later. oh, get ready for a big scrap, Iirc.
If it doesn't work, try loading the next module "1000_Neverwinter_A1":
RunScript ga_load_mod("1000_Neverwinter_A1", "10_world_to_docks")
to see how far-reaching this issue really is (the first string is the module name, the second string is simply a waypoint-Tag that the PC should arrive at)

The first console command gave me the same error, and the second code didn't do anything at all.

not good, Tobis
my analysis says there's something fundamentally wrong with the way the game is interacting with your OS. I was hoping the first command would go through ok, since then it would have been simply a corrupt area or model or something outside the Willow Inn. That, we/i could possibly deal with ..
The second command put me through on a test to Neverwinter City just now, so it 'works'. For the record I'm using NWN2Gold discs + D2D Soz. All I can suggest is re-read this thread and your other thread, and scour the web again - don't forget you may need .NET 2.0 or 3.0 or 3.5 as well as Dx9 (tho I think .net is just for the Toolset)
sry, Do what ya gotta do ( don't go Larry )
ps. hey, if / when you're up for a reinstall .. uninstall and consider a back-up & CClean of your registry, carefully considered (or are you on a Mac), then perhaps do the patches manually to update. Or take the game out for a spin first without the updates (if your D2D isn't already patched up) just to see what happens
i'd hate to suggest customer service 'cause, well, everyone knows what that's like ......

Thanks for all of the suggestions. I uninstalled it completely, and I am re-downloading the all of the files (the OC and both expansions) and I will reinstall them one at a time and see how that goes. If that doesn't work, I may just have to give up on playing the game, because I'm at my absolute wits end.
